Such a pleasure to catch up with @gennofit aka Pietr a few months ago

He’s one of the most genuine, humble people I’ve met
we got creative with our workout session, then sat down for a coconut and a deep chat

sorry in advance for the audio quality…tried my best to restore it 🙏

i thought leaving home would get easier

but if anything, the older i’ve gotten the harder it’s become

i think it’s because the more that i travel, the more i grow, and the more i grow, the deeper connected i become, and the deeper connected i am, the deeper the relationships around me become

it’s like that line that always says, people can only meet you as far as you have met yourself, well i keep meeting myself on new levels

which leads to me a feeling of being torn between two places, the one i’m from and the one i’m going. i often run from this feeling, but in the moment of writing this i remind myself of the privilege it is to have somewhere to miss or someone to be sad to say goodbye to or leave behind, how great that it is to feel something so much

there’s no sugar coating it, leaving pieces of your heart behind sucks, but knowing i am blessed enough to have a heart so big that it chooses to be spread across the world, that makes it all worthwhile

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stop and build’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss […]

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son.
