A plank is more than just holding yourself up. If you can change the position, the leverage or the movement you can work your core in completely different ways. Taking the fundamentals of what you already know and elevating it.

The Key To Consistency ā¬‡ļø

Consistency, consistency, consistency.

šŸŖ„ It’s the only MAGIC formula.. and here’s how to wave the wand:

1. Start slow and set realistic expectations 🐢

I will go to the gym twice a week and eat a plate of veggies a day.

2. Be more specific with structure 🧱

I will train upper body on Mondays for 45 minutes, 2 compound movements first then 2 isolation.

3. Be purposeful! šŸ“š

Focus on quality. No unnecessary volume. This will free up so much time and deliver amazing results.

4. If you are short on time - just do the necessary

You have no idea how much ONLY 3 sets can do.
Studies have shown that you can gain muscle with as little as 3 sets per week. Maybe you’re not maximizing muscle growth — but trust me, it’s extremely effective.

You can do this!šŸ’Ŗ

I bet you’ve never heard of this muscle, and yet…

It’s CRITICAL for both the appearance and functionality of your upper body.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRAIN IT:

1ļøāƒ£ Better posture and scapular control

2ļøāƒ£ Stronger, more stable shoulders

3ļøāƒ£ Improved connection between your shoulders and core

4ļøāƒ£ More defined serratus muscles for that athletic, sculpted look

Train it properly and you’ll enable a body that not only looks good but moves

A hanging leg raise is more than just lifting your legs up. By changing the position, adding rotation or adjusting the leverage, you can train your abs in completely different ways. Taking a simple exercise you already know and elevating it.

Challenge yourself to complete a full abs session by trying these variations out at the gym!

this is the most overlooked muscle in fitness…

and here’s what happens when you train it:

1ļøāƒ£better posture — improves shoulder blade control and helps your shoulders move more efficiently.

2ļøāƒ£stronger, more stable shoulders — trains your serratus anterior to keep your shoulder blades stable as you push.

3ļøāƒ£sharper rib definition — builds the serratus muscles along your ribs for that athletic, defined look.

4ļøāƒ£better shoulder mobility — helps your shoulder blades move and rotate properly through a full range of motion.

one of the simplest ways to train it?

serratus push-ups.

small movement with wild benefits.

Gladiator Abs (Functional + Aesthetic)ā¬‡ļø

This is an amazing workout to train all functions of your core for both aesthetic gains and functionality

Aesthetically you’ll be working your six pack, obliques, and serratus…

Functionally you’ll be training rotation, extension, anti extensions, flexion, and stability…

Here it is:
1. Upper cuts (15x each)
2. Halo to hips (10 total)
3. Kb pull throughs (10 each)
4. Ins and outs (5 rotations around the kb)
5. Hollow body pull overs (10 total)

Enjoy and save this for your next workout

For most of my life, I knew exactly who I was.

I was a tennis player.

I trained for 20+ years.
My days revolved around it.
My goals revolved around it.
My entire identity revolved around it.

And then one day, it was over.

Nobody really prepares you for what happens after you dedicate your entire life to something.

You suddenly have all this time, but no idea what you’re supposed to do with it.

You have to figure out what you actually enjoy.
What you’re good at outside of your sport.
What gives you purpose when there’s no longer a ranking, a match, or a next tournament to chase.

And honestly, I struggled with that.

But I’m starting to realize that maybe the goal isn’t to replace the athlete you used to be.

It’s to take everything that athlete taught you — discipline, resilience, consistency, obsession with improvement — and use it to build something new.

I’m still figuring it out.

But for the first time, I’m learning that my identity can be bigger than the sport that created me. by @gennofit

If you never feel your abs during crunches… you’re probably doing them wrong.

The most common fixes arešŸ“

1. Stop pulling on your neck āœ…
2. Stop crunching straight up āœ…
3. Stop coming all the way to your kneesāœ…

Instead, focus on spinal flexion — curling your ribs toward your pelvis while keeping your lower back in contact with the floor.

Do that, and you’ll take the tension away from your neck and hips and put it where it belongs: your abs.

I blocked all of my friends and it changed my life.

Not because I didn’t love them. Probably because I cared so much about what they thought.

We talk a lot about the fear of being perceived as if it’s just about strangers on the internet and being seen by thousands of people you don’t know.

But sometimes the hardest people to be perceived by are the people who already know you.

The people who have a version of you in their head, whose opinions you genuinely value. The people who, without even meaning to, can make you question whether the person you’re becoming still fits the person they know.

And I think that’s something we don’t talk about enough.

Sometimes you need enough distance from other people’s expectations to hear your own voice again.

Not because their opinions don’t matter. But because they can’t be the thing that determines who you’re allowed to become.

For me, creating Genno gave me that space.

It gave me permission to experiment, to be uncomfortable, to change, and eventually to realize that the confidence I was looking for was never going to come from other people seeing me differently.

It came from me seeing myself differently.

From doing the thing I was afraid to do, and then doing it again.

And I don’t think everyone needs to actually block all their friends šŸ˜‚

Sometimes that distance can just mean giving yourself permission to try something without immediately looking around to see who approves. To create without explaining yourself. To let yourself evolve before you invite everyone else into the process.

Because you’re allowed to rewrite your own narrative, to let who you want to be and who you are start to merge into something new.

And maybe that’s the real fear of starting something new… not failing, but letting the people who already know you watch you become someone they didn’t expect.

You’re allowed to become that person anyway. taken in United States by @gennofit

You don’t train your core with crunches onlyā¬‡ļø

your core needs to resist movement, stabilize your body, and work through rotation too…

this helps build stronger abs, more defined obliques, and a core that functions beyond straight lines

Intention > volume

More workouts don’t automatically mean more progress.

For years, I thought getting better meant doing more — more sets, more exercises, more days.

Now I train 3x a week for about an hour, but I’m far more intentional with every set.

Better execution.
More control.
More intensity.

I’m not trying to see how much I can fit into a workout.

I’m trying to get as much as possible out of every set.

And that’s given me more time to work on the things I used to neglect — mobility, athleticism, flexibility, and longevity.

You don’t always need to train more.

Sometimes you just need to train better.
