The work however will still be available to order over christmas but work will not be shipped or available for collection until the new year.

Thanks already for the amazing response to the store, it’s always warming to know the work we’re doing is needed and appreciated.

🎉Introducing the Convenience Store 🎉

You’ve probably seen in our recent posts a number of them mention the Convenience Store, but what exactly is it?

The Convenience Store is something we have created in response to local need to have more opportunities to sell work, and ultimately for artists locally to be able to make money to sustain their art practice. We have been long time advocates of fair pay for artists - having created 150+ paid opportunities to date.

This also creates opportunities for you to connect, purchase and collect the works from creative practitioners from right across the region and get something truly original.

The store features a number of local artists and their work with price points starting at £10 right through to thousands.

We want this to work and to be a success, so have been trialling across the year so far with a small selection of artists to get it started but we don’t want it to be a closed shop and will in the new year look at taking applications to be included online too as part of the curation - although already their are works from around 20 artists so far. Having now sold a number of works through @mcrcontemporary and @mandsbankarena Collaboration. (you can view these collections on the site).

We will also be launching the Town is the Gallery arts programme next year. Alongside each exhibit we want to tour the Convenience Store Trolleys and have a variety of works on display throughout the programme - so the store is available in person too in a pop up format. There will be loads to get involved with on the Town is the Gallery programme so keep an eye out for updates!

Please look to shop with us online at the conveniencegallery.store and support local artists, designers and creative artists this Winter. If you’re an artist wishing to be on there please drop us a message for more information.

Keep your eye peeled across the coming weeks and we will share more about the works and artists currently on Conveniencegallery.store 🌎

We are delighted to say that we are going to exhibit for the first time at the Manchester Contemporary ( @mcrcontemporary ) on 17-19 November at Manchester Central. ⚡️

We will be representing some of the incredible talent from the region. Including, @lukegeorgelukegeorgelukegeorg, @leo.fitzmaurice , @roxytopia_and_paddygould and @jdogpaints on our main booth.

Alongside a wide capture of local artists with a further 16 artists as part of our Convenience Store (www.conveniencegallery.store ) installation including new Convenience Gallery editions from @charlieannbuxton and @drippedgoods , that we will announce later this week. We are also very excited to be showing Discombobuloscopy by @roxytopia_and_paddygould once more from our In Cahoots programme within one of the feature areas at the Contemporary.

We have attended previously, Ryan has even shown as an artist here in the past and now are for the first time going to represent convenience and importantly the local community and it’s artists on this international stage. As the first time doing this Andy and Ryan are really excited to be curating here too, have invested personally to make sure we could attend and bring this exhibition to life.

We would like to extend a massive thanks to the Manchester Contemporary team, and to curator Nat Pitt for inviting us to take part.

We look forward to seeing you for the launch and across the weekend.
