In the latest episode of Aging Well, we had Christina Peoples tell us about “Gero-What?!”, a digital platform she created that makes conversations about aging more inclusive and relatable through story telling. This platform helps provide a voice to those who are often marginalized as well as advocates for an environment that encourages intergenerational connections and better understanding the physical and emotional facets of the aging process.

Old School Hub Winter School is back! In January 2027, we’re gathering in Guadalajara, Mexico, for our second in-person convening dedicated to advancing a world without ageism.

This isn’t your typical conference. Winter School is an attendee-led “unconference” designed for collaboration, connection, and action. We’re bringing together co-conspirators in the age-equity movement to exchange ideas, challenge our thinking, and build ambitious ageism-busting initiatives together.

Aging is happening to all of us, but too many people still struggle to see themselves in the conversation. That is exactly why Christina Peoples created @gero_what

After noticing a lack of aging-focused platforms led by people of color, Christina built a space where education, representation, and storytelling come together. Her goal is simple: make aging easier to understand, more relatable, and more inclusive for every generation.

Day 2 of On Aging 2026 brought the connection!

We kicked things off with the Opening General Session, setting the tone for what’s possible when we come together around belonging. Poster sessions kept the ideas flowing, with meaningful conversations happening at every turn. Plus all the summits, sessions and workshops changing the way we think about aging. And the Member Celebration? A room full of energy, reconnections and new relationships—exactly what this community is all about!
