Since we’re approaching the end of summer and we will be seeing all of the autumn colors soon, I figured it was a good time to share some gorgeous green edges 💚 I have been saying forever now that my collection is sorely lacking in green books but we are slowing building it up!

Reading update: I started The Sweetest Fiend last night and omg, the prologue alone blew me away. A few chapters in and this books is just phenomenal 🙌🏼 I’ll be back with a full review after finishing but wow

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a color stack so I wanted to tag some friends! If you want to join in, share a stack of your favorite color 🤍

🎨 PANTONE BIRTH CHART CHALLENGE

I have been very inactive with challenges lately but after seeing everyone’s recommendations and the pretty colours I had to join in! Thank you @getbookiewithit for the tag. I’m tagging a few of you but no pressure 💕

So have you read any of these? Or see any you have on your TBR? For once I have read every single book I’m posting - so any questions do ask 👌

✨Reader Challenge✨

Thank you @natreadsfantasy for the tag!! I think it’s so fun to see how others go about a hobby we all love 💕 I’m going to tag some others if you’d like to jump in!!

𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒓 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈
I read at all times of the day and squeeze it in whenever I can. I work from home so it’s easy to do it in between things throughout the day but I prefer to read at night with lots of cozy lighting ✨

𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒏-𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
obviously, fiction 😅 I’d like to say I read non-fiction now and then but I’ve given up on that hope and don’t even try to talk myself into it anymore. Maybe one day if I want to mix things up but for now I’m content 😌

𝒑𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌
I’ll read any format whether it’s paperback, hardcover, e-book, or audio. My only issue with paper backs is that I can’t read them without destroying the spine and that just hurts my heart

𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆
I try to keep up with new releases as I can but I love to go back to older titles too! Especially if I find a new-to-me author and want to read their backlog

𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚
As my bio says, I love pretty books that make me cry. Of course I like a happy ending but if a book makes me emotional, I immediately love it so much more

𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒔𝒆
I prefer to read in silence but can also tune out a football game while my husband is watching if I want to 😂 I know some people like to put on music while reading but that hasn’t ever been for me

𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒐𝒈 𝒆𝒂𝒓
I will put anything I can find into my book to mark my page before dog earring. Phone, coaster, chapstick, there’s currently a scrap of paper towel in one of my books

Let me know if you feel the same about any of these!!

QOTD: What, in your opinion, is the worst bookish sin one can commit? Dog earring? Cracking spines? Using no bookmark at all and just remembering your place? 👀
Mine is PRINTING STICKERS ONTO THE COVERS (as seen above) 🥲

✨️Animal edges✨️

If you were a character in a fantasy novel, what would your animal companion be?

Mine would probably be a cat. I don't think I could handle a dragon 😅

Thank you @getbookiewithit for tagging me in this challenge.

I did the bookstagram trend!!
Wow, was it hard to choose only 16 books.. I thought it would be easy but as I started choosing, I had such a hard time picking them. But I finally managed to choose them.

I was debating with my friends what my handle should be when I decided to form a bookstagram last year. I knew I wanted midnight but my first choice was already taken. After much discussion, I finally decided to go with midnight_lit_reads. I mainly read during the night, especially after 11 so thought this was perfect. I've pulled many an almost all-nighter trying to finish books, especially if they were the picks above.

In order, they are

The Battle Drum
Romancing Mr Bridgerton
Lord of shadows
Legendborn
Love, Theoretically
The Poppy War
Mahabharata
The House of Hades
Lovelight Farms
The Palace of Illusions
The Invisible Life of Addie Larue
All my Rage
The Count of Monte Cristo
Starcrossed
Babel
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

The order in no way defines my preference of these books and is totally random.

I have a tagged a few people to carry on this trend if they wish and to tag others to continue this trend as well

Thank you @canva for making this process very simple to make (if you want a hint, simply go to elements -> letters -> choose frames and add your book pic by hovering over the letter frame)
