What I’ve learned is this..
When people hurt you
Don’t take it personally.
Something is going on in their life.

Even if it’s projected onto you
do not let it enter your aura and if it does cleanse it away.

Protect your energy at all costs.

Don’t allow someone else’s pain
to ruin your good energy.

They say depression can’t hit a moving target, so I make sure to shake my arse every day.

I don’t care if I’m brushing my teeth, cooking dinner, or making a cup of tea, that arse is shaking.

And really, it just means moving your body. Not every day you can get to the gym, do yoga, Pilates, or go for a run. But every day you can shake your arse to a song in the bathroom or kitchen.

absolutely adored every part of it, the movement, the workshops, the food, the sound healing, the meditation — i had so much fun and felt so grateful to have been in such a beautiful space with even more beautiful people

i left feeling so full of love and inspiration for creating spaces for us to gather

don’t underestimate what the power of a few hours gathered with intention can do

in fact, i’m holding a women’s circle in my home this saturday — it would be so beautiful to see you

I was blown away today. It’s been two years since the last UK retreat and I’d forgotten just how powerful they are.

If you want to wind down and spend the day focusing on what you need, this is for you.

Meet new likeminded people who are there to explore themselves alongside you, then just as you dig a little deep, re-energise and feel uplifted with a dance class that will have you feeling yourself no matter how shy you are because everyone is so damn supportive and full of love to give. Re-charge with some good soulfood and then continue that journey of exploring your mind,heart and soul with more workshops from card reading to meditation.

My @getlitretreat Anxiety Elixir has been my quiet little support system lately - it’s filled with tiny crystals & essential oils like; Lavender, Clary Sage and Frankincense…it stays in my purse at all times!

Honestly, I don’t think we talk about the physical manifestations of Anxiety much. Loss of appetite, tiredness, breathing difficulties & stomachaches just to name a few for me!

My Chill Babes Stick definitely helps me to refocus my thoughts & my son says it’s a must for soothing nettle stings, with some Shea butter on top 😅 - we love a multi use item!

My @thisworks Pillow Spray is also great for those ‘I’m thinking too much to sleep’ moments 😴.

REST vs PRODUCTIVITY for self care.

I wrote on my stories yesterday about how I was staying up late to get sh*t done and multi tasking like a bish despite the fact I also woke up early to work my freelance job pre yoga TT. Not everyday looks like this, in fact this is just this week for me because I have a lot of deadlines to meet and things that have all fallen at the same time. This is an instance where putting it off, being late with deadlines or not delivering would make me feel worse than pushing through and getting stuff done. This is where productivity is self care.

That being said, I woke up this morning tired, obviously, and normally I would try and squeeze in a workout but actually what my body needed was an extra 30 mins in bed, because my body and brain need to be able to concentrate all day. Also self care.

I love that people are more intuitive and introspective about being kind to themselves but I also think (myself included) that real self care is about doing the work which means doing the difficult stuff that isn’t face masks and videoing yourself making your bed 🤣

Self care is:
- going to therapy
- getting the tasks done you avoid on your to do list
- prioritising sleep so you can get through your day
- setting boundaries with work and most importantly people
- eat breakfast...no coffee is not breakfast

When you stand for something you are interrogated for perfection especially now our entire lives are expected to be vocalised online. But you don’t have to be perfect? You have to do what feels right, in your gut, in your mind, body and soul and run with it. Every day will look different and most certainly will be unique to you, but if it makes YOU feel good, then what does it matter what anyone else thinks?
