Time passes. Sometimes I feel I can control it, sometimes it feels like it's slipping through my fingers, sometimes I just like to acknowledge it's passing.

These last few months have flown by, a new job, more challenges, more set backs. Whatever is happening I'm just trying my best to do what I can in the time I have.
•
The more time passes the more I observe the more I feel like I'm in some sort of fever dream. Some things feel surreal at the minute like something painted out of my mind with my eyes closed. It's what I imagine but some of the things don't make sense, and that's okay, that's life sometimes I suppose. Things don't have to make sense to be beautiful.

Ive trained hundreds of hobbyist BJJ athletes, thousands if we include those who've run the program on train heroic. I started BJJ in 09 (I'm not an OG but my body feels like it), wrote for @scramblebrandofficial and a ton more, trained IBJJF winners, NAGA champs and UFC fighters. Here's an At a glance 2 day a week guide for BJJ out of competition gym work. Make of it what you will, but less is more I've always found, basics win, consistency wins. While I do post more golf content these days, I never stopped with BJJ, its how most of my friends in the industry know me. More of this to be found in @ruimiguelsilva_bjj forth coming BJJ book where I contributed to the S&C section. 🥋🏋️‍♀️🦍

A striking sport and a grappling sport are very different things

Their demands are different

One has a heavy focus on speed and fluidity. The other requires a lot more strength

So the training shouldn't really be the same

POV: You attended @reapjiujitsu Invitational 3 🔥

What an incredible event! The venue was amazing a small brewery that created an electric atmosphere from start to finish. With 10 carefully selected matchups, every match delivered, and the winners walked away with custom masks 🏆🎭

A huge shoutout to @dave_weston and @harryhardwickmma @georgehardwickmma for keeping the livestream entertaining with top-tier commentary throughout the day.

Everyone also had the chance to try @strom_grappling Focus and HYDRAMAX, helping keep athletes fueled, focused, and hydrated all event long 💪⚡️💧

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and we’re already counting down to the next one. Dave has a great coaching business working with grapplers (@getstrong.rollmore)

But because he was busy with coaching and being a father, finding time to work ON the business was initially difficult

So mentorship for him has been about providing him accountability, ideas on how to improve the business and outlining clear systems.

We’ve also spent time on marketing, social media and wider business projects with HUGE success.
