Kauai is special. We absolutely nailed this trip as a crew. We learned that Boone goes left and Duke goes right. We were reminded that Brie loves water slides and adapts very quickly to this island’s pace. We sailed around the Na Pali coast, watched Duke paddle into his own waves, hung in Hanalei when the sun was out, staged out of the south to juice Poipu’s weather and swell, saw Boone surf his brains out, and logged awesome time as a foursome. We are headed home tonight and I am grateful for this time with my family.

Call it a ‘non-freezing precipitation’ winter. Translation: rain and warm weather, but we still skied the East Coast like conditions we had. Firm, ice, variable chunk, rocks. Skiing is skiing and it’s always fun especially with friends! Fantastic season! . . . @blizzard_tecnica @ortovox @julboeyewearna @mokkwear @snowbird @altaskiarea @deervalleyresort

“Get in, we’re going to Cooke.” That’s all we heard as we excitedly packed up and shipped out for a few days in Cooke City, MT with @blizzard_tecnica the other week. The conditions were grand, the crew was motley and we had a brand new 2027 boot to test - the Tecnica Zero G Decoy Pro. This hybrid touring boot isn’t like anything you’ve skied before, we promise you that. Get the full trip report from @jordygk and find out why the Decoy hits different at the LINK 🔗 in bio. // PHOTO: @ricksorensenphoto @jordygk // #FREESKIER #ThisIsSkiing

Right after the Goose Camp, we linked up with our friends from @blizzard_tecnica for 3 days of fun around Cooke. What a great finale for the season up here! We toured everything from high North faces at Goose to the Fin right out of town. Thanks to a stable forecast and a crew comprised of pro skiers to life long riders (and writers), we enjoyed the best spring could offer in the Beartooths. Huge shout out to my co-guides @austinshart and @aidan.whitelaw for helping keep things safe and fun.

In vino veritas. Italian photo dump from Spring Break 2026. Our family converged in Tuscany to celebrate Chief’s 70th birthday. We traveled as a quartet and we did it properly: cobblestone alleyways and winding dirt roads, classic plates of food and old bottles of wine, cities and countryside, espresso and gelato, history and exploring. Apprezzo molto la mia famiglia. Questa è la dolce vita.

Powder mornings and puckering terrain get a lot of attention in the ski world, and rightly so! We love blowing snow and big lines. But we also celebrate slush bumps and cold drinks, BBQs and party laps. Spring skiing is in full swing, and we just got back from the heart of springtime snow sliding: Aspen, CO. We touched down in the ZG to spin hot laps on Ajax, grill out with friends, and toast to an amazing season. Professional skier and Red Bull Cold Rush winner, X Games Real Ski Medalist and two-time IF3 Best Male Pro Dane Tudor was on hand along with Outpst founder and Nivis skier Coop Johnson and young guns Finn Eisenman and Asher Weinberg. “The more we learn about Aspen and the more friendships we make with the cool people in the Roaring Fork Valley, the more time we want to spend in that zone,” says Nivis founder Carter Ramos. “It’s such a special place. And if you’re making a brand rooted in the ski and snowboard industry and you aren’t relevant in Aspen then you’re blowing it. We’re going to double down on Aspen for years to come. This is just the beginning. We’re excited to plant roots in the Elk Mountains and grow from here.” Tudor arrived in town fresh off filming a backcountry ski segment in British Columbia and a photoshoot in Jackson Hole with Fischer Skis. He was looking forward to Aspen’s signature spring conditions. “After visiting Aspen years ago to watch X Games, I had always been curious to check out the mountain. I was looking forward to joining the Nivis team in Aspen,” says Tudor. “It was a great opportunity to come out, see what the terrain is like and meet some new people.” HUGE THANKS to Aspen and the awesome people who make that town so incredible for welcoming us with open arms!

Throwback to a spring trip to the Arctic in 2019. Temps are raging in our mountains right now and I’m reminiscing about colder adventures. We spent time on a work trip exploring the Abisko Alps in Sweden. Ski touring through “the land of the midnight sun,” tracking wolverines, finding roaming herds of reindeer, drinking Swedish coffee, and skiing in the Arctic. I’ll never forget this one. 90 perfect Ajax minutes this morning with my boy! Day 60 was easily the best day of the year for me because I shared it with Duke. Morning coffee in a Red Gondi —> first tracks in Kristi —> Harris Headwall —> Japan Line —> Dipsy —> Blazing Star —> S1 Duke’s first Blazing Star air & S1 lap. He’s stoked! @aspensnowmass @blizzard_tecnica @team_avsc @shredoptics #aspen #tgif #fitzlove #powderday❄️

On a map, the Continental Divide is close to Aspen. In real life, you could not get further away from Aspen’s scene. That’s why we loaded up for a roadtrip. I wanted my boys to experience a different atmosphere of skiing in Colorado. They dove head first into the mountains, met some cool people, skied fluidly in new terrain, laughed and sang on long drives, made art, and celebrated the adventure. The energy at Monarch and Cooper is rootsy and refreshing; it’s sans ego (during winter) and laden with value. Lift tickets don’t exclude people from sliding on snow and people linger in the dirt parking lots after skiing to talk with each other from their tailgates. Ski season is off season in the mountain towns along the Arkansas River. Summer is when these surf towns turn on. Numbers and Browns Canyon beckon river rats and respected raft guides because the rapids rage and the whitewater is world-class. So, ski season has a different feel than in proper ski towns. Up there you won’t find high-speed quads or “influencers,” and there aren’t ubiquitous fur coats or Kemosabe hats. DJs aren’t spinning digi beats on the snow, and Moncler popups aren’t a worry in BV and Salida. Their stereotypes revolve around guys and gals rocking denim and gators on straight long skis, raft guides wearing kayak helmets on chairlifts, and Allman Brothers crackling from old speakers for lifties. We’re back in the RFV and snow is flying in Aspen. It’s good to be home with Brie after chasing something similar but different. I love this time with Duke and Boone! #roadtrip #skitrip #FitzLove #travel #colorado @monarchmountain @skicooper @blizzard_tecnica @surfhotelbv @patagonia @team_avsc @woodwardcopper @briefitzsimmons
