📎 All the artwork for the album was created by hand. The artist is Dionis Afonichev (Dionisaf). ‘Scrapbook Remixes’ continues a series of albums in which the principle of layering (much like in scrapbooking) prevails in both the musical and the visual works.

📎 October 2026 marks the second anniversary of the release of ‘Scrapbook’, one of Dionisaf’s landmark albums. To celebrate the occasion, ‘Scrapbook Remixes’ is being released — a project that offers a unique reinterpretation of selected tracks from the original album.

Today sees the release of The Distant Sea, @ghostloopmusic ’s first release on Noray Records.

This work grew out of a desire to explore the possibilities of the modular synthesizer that Ghostloop has been building over the past few years.

The album combines multitracked compositions with one-take recordings made directly from the modular system and later shaped through post-production. An approach that aims to preserve the spontaneity of each moment, leaving room for imperfections and unexpected details.

The Distant Sea continues to explore new paths within ambient music, with delicate textures, a natural sense of spontaneity, and a warm melancholy that invites you to slow down and listen.

Mastered by Ian Hawgood.

A stone cut in a century that has already left, then a MicroKorg noticing the room has changed.
Side A polishes a gemstone that arrived already old, keeps the distant sea far enough that you can hear it and stay dry, leaves an extra chair for two girls and the half that stayed, counts masts the harbour fog is still deciding to show, gathers every last drop, and opens a portal onto a room you have already been in. Side B lets the moon wobble a little more than it meant to show, hums rare earths through a circuit board in a language older than the plug, listens as a Connecticut house stretches fridge and rain into a room you can stand in, counts ninety minutes of air still in the lungs, files a ghost that already knew the address, and lets a stolen memory agree the room has changed.
Overall mood: Contemplative, slightly haunted, and quietly domestic — full of polite distances, home-shelf murmurs, and water that remains generous with the air. Perfect for dusk listening, houses that pay attention, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.#trevladsounds #electronicmusic #ambientmusic #spacemusic #mixcloud

Welcome to Noray, Ghostloop 🌊

@ghostloopmusic makes ambient music inspired by the landscapes of Northern Germany and the Baltic Sea. Modular synthesizers, field recordings, and deep basslines come together in slow-moving, spacious soundscapes, where organic textures meet electronic detail.

His first release on Noray will be The Distant Sea, an album born from exploring his modular synthesizer, which he has been building over the past few years, together with field recordings captured using a new recorder and several microphones he built himself.

The Distant Sea will be released on October 16th.

Pre-order available this Friday, October 2nd.
