Happy 30th to the best. I wish I could have known you all 30 years, but the past 4 have been a gift. I couldn’t be more excited for the next 30 and beyond.

In honor of July 4th, we would like to announce our final board appointment for 2025…please welcome a long time friend and a true patriot, Captain Lewis B. Gilpin Jr., USMC. As a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Bailey is a true testament of grit and determination. As our Chief Correspondent for Veteran Affairs, we hope to further our commitment to helping the brave men and women that protect us everyday.

Although our board is complete…like me, this board needs help knowing how we can best help others…the main reason I built out this board is because I finally accepted that I couldn’t make a difference as one person with a mission and a passion. What I constantly have to remind myself of, is that I tend to put others first before myself and that’s when I personally make mistakes that sacrifice my own well being and the well being of those I care about…people can always act like the strongest person in the room and come off as “having it all” but in my case…my co-chief marketing officer can attest that I still struggle with the weight of my decisions everyday…it’s okay to struggle…life isn’t easy but there’s always strength surrounding you when you feel weak. You just have to open your eyes, take a breath, and say “hey, I could use your help” even if it’s just to get your mind off things…trust me, the real ones don’t ask “why” they just show up…Life is all about showing up for one another…keep showing up for those you care about and I promise you, they’ll always show up for you. Life is full of burdening feelings, but you’re never a burden to those that love and care about you.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!
