My 30th was fun 👴 Got my friends to split into teams of two and race around the city completing challenges, in including a scavenger hunt challenge all for the prize of being my best friends for the duration of my thirties.
Was fun, i couldn't be everywhere at once so people had to send proof. these are bits from some fun ones thanks everyone for giving me a really fun birthday,
celebrating with me and doing dumb challenges

Tried Japanese Shokupan Cubes at Best Bread Boba @bestbreadboba

Matcha with a matcha cream filling and Mango with a cream filling. Both were good but matcha was the obvious favorite.

They also had Matcha Ube soft serve 👌🏽

Bread was soft but really difficult to cut with wooden knives may be it’s not for share 😉
Not sure why they serve matcha in disposable cups though. Also the space is bit cluttered.

A pleasant cafe with quite a few matcha options. Went for high tea. You need to reserve early by email. It’s 35€ pp. Menu includes:

Matcha hot/cold drink from their main menu (I tried Coconut water cold foam matcha: very rich foam. Didn’t get coconut water taste that much but the blend works very well 👌🏽)
Matcha macaron
Matcha cheesecake 👌🏽
Mochi or chocolate (said they have run out and neither was included)
A variety of homemade cakes (there was two type served: sponge with red beans and a matcha cake with a sugary coating)
A delightful matcha waffle 👌🏽
Japanese avocado toast 👌🏽
Unlimited Japanese loose leaf tea (tried Sencha tea which was mild and tasted well as a end note)

I really enjoyed the Coconut water cold foam matcha, Cheesecake, Waffle and the Toast ⭐️💚⭐️. Pity we couldn’t taste the mochi nor the choco regardless of early reservation. Overall it’s lots of sweets 🫨. But all items, front and center was matcha.

“Art belongs where life happens — on the streets”..

I was more mesmerized this time by the art shared in public places. Had the chance to experience quite a few.. this one is at the Galle Fort..

Always enjoy a meal sitting amongst art. It makes everything so colorful and if you runout of topic or not, you can still admire the art. So ambience was great! I like the idea of a gallery cafe. So was the food when they arrived.

Ceylon Shakshuka (two poached eggs nestled in a rich, spiced tomato curry base. Served with creamy whipped ricotta, sweet-and-spicy Seeni Sambol (Caramelized onion relish), and toasted kade paan)
Not a typical Shakshuka but I love the curry hearty blend and the idea of eating with a warm bread.
⭐️⭐️⭐️

My friend had a Avo toast which was presented nice! (Sour dough topped with creamy mashed avocado, house-made beetroot chutney, tangy cucumber pickle,sun-dried tomatoes, and crumbled feta and pol sambol butter)
⭐️⭐️ ☆

Our drinks were also good. My hot matcha latte gave me the taste I like (not seeet)
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Service was very attentive and it’s not overcrowded with tables or art.

Thanks for this one @neshikajayetileke

Shakespeare and Company is a cherished English language bookshop along the Seine, right across from Notre Dame, opened in 1951 by George Whitman and later named by Sylvia Beach, who saw it as the spiritual successor to her own legendary store. Often hailed as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, it quickly became a lively refuge for writers in Paris, drawing James Baldwin, Anaïs Nin, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Richard Wright, Julio Cortázar and Henry Miller. Today, the shop still pulses with that creative energy, now with its own café, literary festival, writing contest and publishing arm, all while hosting lively events that make it a warm home for readers and storytellers from around the world.

While December's often considered the most magical time of year, these German castles are part of enchanting scenes 365 days a year. Atlas Obscura user, traveler, and photographer @ginger__cinnamon has done us the *enormous* favor of rounding up some of the country's most beautiful, if not its most underrated castles here.

Another great photowalk, with lots of posing and many many clicks.
We discovered some unknowns parts of the city.
Where should we held our next photowalk? Let me know in the comments ;-)
