Ginnie Cappaert creates expressive paintings that explore the color, atmosphere, and changing light of the natural world. In "Catching the Sunset," layered blues, warm earth tones, and richly textured marks evoke the lingering glow over a lakeside horizon.

This piece is part of our Douglas Gallery's "Afterglow" Exhibition - you can see it in person tonight at the exhibition opening! The Douglas Gallery will be open today until 9pm. Come catch the sunset with us!

Ginnie Cappaert is our final featured artist for our new exhibit at Edgewood. Ginnie’s art is based on landscape as a subject, but she is primarily interested in color, texture and abstracted forms. Her paintings are a long journey and are often developed in a series based on different elements of the landscape. She continually strives to find a balance in her work between abstraction and landscape. Her beautiful paintings are harbingers of the approaching fall season and bring a wonderful new feeling into the gallery barn. Ginnie will be at the reception tomorrow Saturday, September 5th to speak about her beautiful new work at 5pm. #edgewoodorchardgallery #ginniecappaert #reception #doorcounty
