2025 was a year of endings and new beginnings.
Of lessons that stayed with me, and a deeper trust in myself.
Of people who walked away, and those who stood by me—no matter what.
Poetry.
New places, tastes, sounds.
Moments of presence, and moments of absence.
Theatre—this deeply therapeutic journey with the most perfect team.
Family, and the souls who became family.
An inner journey with no final destination.
And creation, always.

An incredible night at @nationalrestaurantawards last week, a huge thank you to all those who came out in support and have backed us along the way. And a special shout out to @chomkastefan @jamesmca90 @joelutrario @restaurantmaguk for believing we were worth the nomination [ link in bio ].

But the real praise in all this goes out to the teams [ past + present ] who make the dream possible. @smokestakuk for carving the way some 11 years ago in a grotty Dalston car park before settling into Sclater St, @manteca_london @thisisleachy from a couple residencies through COVID to establishing itself so well in the post pandemic frenzy, through to new nominees @agora.ldn @oma.london who we got to celebrate alongside / share the stage with placing no 51 and no 6 in the UK Top 100 list.

Lastly, to a few unsung heroes behind the scenes who don’t get the praise they deserve. Not sure we could do this without you and / or not sure we would want to either. The one who put on this very stage @nancybrownlow and the ones who design and build all of our ‘stages’ @box9design. Huge love to you both 🤍

Earlier this month, some of us from @oma.london and @agora.ldn headed to this year’s @nationalrestaurantawards after finding out both restaurants made the list of the UK’s Top 100!

Beyond proud to share that AGORA landed at #51 and OMA at #6, making it the highest new entry of the year. 🤯🔥

And the cherry on top? Our very own @david.carter.uk was named Restaurateur of the Year!

Grateful to be working alongside such a passionate, talented (and seriously fun) crew.

Some things can’t really be put into words… but in the end, you just find yourself saying “I’m so glad it happened.”
Today, my Oma–Agora chapter comes to an end.
It’s been such a great ride.Full of learning, laughter, and really special memories.
Huge thanks to everyone who’s been part of it.
Now it’s time for the next chapter!

athens: team bonding. but mainly team gorging. an immense and intense few days roaming the street of athens with these giants-amongst-giants who built AGORA / OMA to what it is today.
