💬 Comment how often you utilize this exercise ” if you train loaded carries, if not, let me know when you plan to! 🧠🦴 From a clinical lens, loaded carries are not accessory work. They are integrated training. Farmer walks challenge how the entire system functions under load — not isolated muscles. From a physical therapy and performance perspective, carries train: • trunk stiffness and load transfer • shoulder and rotator cuff stabilization • grip strength and neural drive • frontal-plane pelvic control • gait mechanics under resistance • breathing-core coordination • fatigue-resistant posture Each step requires the nervous system to coordinate force from the ground, through the feet, hips, trunk, and shoulders, while maintaining alignment and efficiency. This is why loaded carries are used across the spectrum: • rehabilitation • return-to-sport • tactical populations • and long-term spine and joint health They expose asymmetries. They build capacity. They reinforce safe, repeatable force production. In clinical practice, the ability to carry load predicts far more than gym performance — it reflects tissue tolerance, motor control, and real-world function. Strong systems protect joints. Conditioned systems prevent breakdown. Integrated systems sustain independence. Train muscles, yes. But more importantly — train the system that uses them. Thank me later once you see how improved your functionality becomes! 🦾 The goal isn’t to look strong. The goal is to remain capable. #FunctionalTraining #StrengthScience #RehabPerformance #MovementHealth #SportsPhysicalTherapy

Jumping high is shockingly simple if you break it down properly. It really does come down to a base of those three things mentioned. Don’t overcomplicate it or get overwhelmed. You will make insane progress from getting lean, jumping and sprinting, and lifting heavy. Follow @gk_strength for quality content
