Dominican Republic 2027 is officially happening!

This trip has become something I look forward to every single year. There’s really nothing like watching a new group of kids experience the DR for the first time.

The baseball is incredible, but it’s the people, the culture, the communities, the relationships, and all the moments away from the field that make this trip so special.

Every year I come home incredibly grateful to be a part of it, and really proud of what these trips have become.

And this one means even more. 2027 marks 10 years of Global Baseball Adventures. 🇩🇴❤️

I’m still reminiscing about the fact that I just went to a different country, and saw so many ways of life. This trip to the Dominican Republic was truly life-changing, and I am even more grateful for what I have. One of the most impactful sights was when I would get a strike out, the Delfinas would have a pillow full of flour, ready to smack the girls face with. Getting strikeouts is fun for the pitcher but seeing them have fun with it as the hitter was just incredible. Having a positive mindset is really important because you can really see how you can win even if the score says something different, just in terms of if you had fun doing it or not. Thank you so much @globalbaseballadventures for putting on this super organized and awesome trip! And thank you @mrvic06 for the incredible photos!

La Piedra, Fantino 🇩🇴

You have to go a long way off the main road to get here. And once you do, the road itself tells part of the story.

Year after year, this community continues to produce ballplayers, build opportunities for kids, and welcome us with open arms. Yet the road into La Piedra remains in terrible condition, with much of the work to improve it coming from people in the community instead of the city.

That matters. When an academy sits this far out and the road is nearly impassable, access matters. Scouts have to make the trip. Families have to make the trip. Opportunity has to be able to reach these kids.

But that is only one part of La Piedra.

What stays with me every year is the people. The pride. The baseball. The kids. The way a community with so little continues to give so much.

Baseball brings us here, but it is never just about baseball.

La Piedra deserves to be seen. 🇩🇴⚾️❤️

When @mrvic06 and I talked about his photography, he told me how easy it is to photograph us because you need raw emotion to create great photos, and the girls just have that power. I can stand here confident, telling you each of these photos were created behind the scenes of deep emotional connection- realizing that regardless of language, background or lifestyle, we are all humans on this earth, wanting the best for one another.

The people, the kids and the families we meet year after year live lives that we only see small glimpses of. And for even just a fleeting moment in time, we are all there together, hugging, connecting, laughing, crying. Those fleeting moments, I hold so close to my heart. Etched into my memory forever. I thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for letting me share those moments with you. A big T hank you to @globalbaseballadventures for your work, that is so much bigger than all of us- you are absolutely amazing Isaias and your impact on this world is everlasting.

Lifting and getting strong has the ability to bridge the age gap. It’s my goal to turn The Farm into a program that gives young high school players the opportunity to get stronger while consistently working on their skills. I am teaming up with three incredible coaches to give players an idea of what will be expected of them as they move up through high school baseball. We will practice and lift three days a week. This is for all positions. Development will be the priority of this program. If your son doesn’t have plans for the fall reach out. A morning at La Normal 🇩🇴⚾️

Opened in 1946, Estadio La Normal is one of the historic homes of Dominican baseball. Pretty special getting to play on a field with that much history.
