June is the time for exploring Europe! And on a hot summer day, there’s no better outfit to tour in than a lightweight, quick dry Hedge top and Hedge skirt with 3 pockets! Thank you @sarah_hughes346 & @mmaddiehughes for sharing this gorgeous photo from Athens, Greece.

Last summer, six Local Foreigner team members made the long but worthwhile trek to Indonesia. The marquee destinations within the country are hardly off the beaten path, but we find as much value in scouting places that can sag under the potential for overtourism as those spots that are undiscovered, as knowing how to explore enjoyably and responsibly requires a defter hand when it’s crowded. And while the country has some of the world’s most famous tourist meccas, it also has corners that feel otherworldly in their remoteness; there are streets clogged with traffic, and there are islands reachable only by phinsi. Plus, you know there’s bound to be magic in a place where the lizards are dragons. Link in stories and bio for more. #wemaketravelbetter

🌴 Honestly, this weather is rude.
So while I’ve been freezing my tootsie off all weekend, I’ve been daydreaming about my recent trip to Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort.

🐬 I’m dreaming of waking up to real heat, between the Pitons, with crystal-clear water, villas with plunge pools, a jungle spa, and boating days when dolphins and rainbows are perfectly queued.

☀️ Anyway, If you need me, I’ll be here layered in 10 sweaters, booking warm-weather getaways for people who also refuse to suffer unnecessarily.

WHERE I WANDERED || November 2025
Drove vintage cars through Puglia, ate pizza (natch), celebrated my son committing to play college basketball at @ithacambb, ate Thanksgiving dinner in my favorite place with all of my favorite people and then kicked them all out so my girlies could come to town. ’Twas a fantastic month for sure. #WeGoFar #LetsWander #WeMakeTravelBetter

At the end of the 2024-2025 season, seven of Local Foreigner’s most devoted ski bunnies packed their puffers for one last slopeside hurrah - the impeccable runs, epic landscapes, and legendary hospitality to be found in the French Alps. Their home base? Eleven Experience’s buyout-only alpine eden, Chalet Hibou - a seven-bedroom historic farmhouse turned outdoor enthusiast’s fantasia, complete with firepits, a bunker bar, private chef, sauna, spa treatment room, and private mountaintop shepherd’s hut dedicated to dining by candlelight. The feedback upon their return? Take “Couldn’t love this property more if I tried,” and multiply it by seven. Not a skier? Visit in summer for mountain biking, via ferrata, and paragliding. Need more than 7 bedrooms? Take Chalet Pelerin as well, the 5-bedroom sibling across the street. Need more convincing? There’s a bottle of Mumm waiting for you at La Folie Douce. Any further questions? We didn’t think so. #wemaketravelbetter

Developing an obsession with traveling to sub-Saharan Africa is a rite of passage in the travel industry, where conventional standards of how much travel you can pack into a year go out the window. (One of our advisors recently went to Cape Town from New York… for the weekend.) In the first half of 2025, twelve different Local Foreigner team members explored seven different countries on the Mother Continent, visiting almost forty different hotels and lodges. It’s a good thing our company Whatsapp group loves nothing more than a video of a baby elephant. On the blog, we've got a babymoon, a first-time-to-the-continent trip, two beach adventures, a couple of daughters treating their moms, and one brave advisor on horseback in the Kalahari. Swipe through to see a few of our team in their elements, then head to the link in bio & stories. #wemaketravelbetter

@thelocalforeigner offers several “educational” trips every year for our team. And while we learn so much, and are immediately able to up-level every client’s experience, the real sambal sauce is in the Kool-Aid. Heart is full and abs hurt from laughing after a whirlwind week in Indonesia. An awkwardly long teary-eyed gratitude hug to our hosts @nihi @bapakjames @galitschwarz @dnyciaman @capellaubud @janfredma @nyomanswinton and the all-⭐️TLF team (who are all still scouting) @globalpatina @morethanabed @jennyplunger @briannaderosee @trac_leches #wemaketravelbetter
