“Just as each one of you has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], employ it in serving one another as good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor].”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭

What a life-changing experience it has been to be part of an outreach event in Mamelodi, where the organization "Lifting Dreams" is making a profound impact on these kids and their community. The sheer goodness of their hearts shines through in every interaction and act of service. As I observed, I witnessed the pure joy and hope radiating from the children's faces, a testament to the transformative power of kindness and genuine care.

Lifting Dreams Mamelodi!

An incredible thing happened this weekend while serving at Lehlabile Secondary school in Mamelodi. We teach maths and english to grade 9 kids.

After we had our lessons with them and we were done for the day, i saw out of the side of my eye one of these ladies laying on the floor, looking like she had fainted. Her friends were holding her hands and feet for this has been happening frequently. Out of impulse i rushed to her and helped her breathe deeply to calm her down. After asking her friends what happened they said that she had a "spiritual calling regarding her ancestors", where the girl intsantly started to scream and curl up in a ball. I knew that she was experiencing a manifestation of some sort. I instantly start speaking the name of Jesus and prayed for her, after speaking the Name of Jesus over her and commanding the spirit to leave, she calmed down instantly.

For the first time something like this has happened in my life and the Lord took me back to Matthew 10 where Jesus sends out His disciples:

“but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬-‭8‬a ESV‬‬

It is not about focusing on doing these things for Christ, but rather to seek God and humble yourself to need God in every day, then you will walk in the Spirit and He empowers you to do these works.

Teachers took the lady and her friends to the office (foyer) where she could rest. We felt to go and pray for her, we also asked if we can pray for het that she can get baptised in the Holy Spirit, and we believe she got did. God is expanding His kingdom daily!
