I thought I was going to First Thursdays to see some art at @sffirstthursdays & @dftsanfrancisco.

I ended up meeting incredible artists, learning the pottery wheel, doing a little photography, and being dressed like… whatever this was. 😂

Nights like this are a great reminder of what makes ArtU special: talented people who are willing to create, experiment, teach each other, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Thank you to everyone who let me jump in. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

An evening in San Francisco to celebrate the release of my new book, The Success Lie

Friends, dignitaries and colleagues from across the Bay Area came together on Thursday. It was amazing to have so many of my favorite people in one place. The best part of this book tour has been getting to have meaningful conversations with so many, and hearing how we all have told ourselves one, two or all of the success lies at one point in our lives.

There is so much more to wine than what’s in the glass, and I never get tired of talking about it… especially with sports pros like Frank Mallicot who instantly see the push and pull of history and culture that comes through in wine as vividly as the tension in any game. It was an absolute pleasure to take a rapid-fire deep dive into Georgian wine with him last weekend and can’t wait for next time 🍷🍷🍷

Celebrated this red hot chili pepper of a human last night! 🌶️🔥

@chantell_preston is brilliant, bold, wildly accomplished and hilarious. I describe her as my shot of espresso — one conversation and suddenly I’m ready to go chase every damn dream I’ve ever had. Congrats on the launch of The Success Lie!! 🙌🏼

Somehow I landed on this incredible journey, but I’m happy to be here. Me? Just taking notes and trying to keep up. 😂 All these badass women are such an inspiration - especially @loripuccinellistern!
