A special shoutout to our Alabama Chapter President Sebastian Vargas for representing NAHN Alabama and sharing the heart behind the work our chapter continues to do across the state.

We are proud to continue building community, supporting Hispanic nurses and nursing students, and advocating for a stronger and more representative healthcare workforce across Alabama.

Thank you for helping shine a light on our chapter and on the Hispanic nurses making a difference every day.

Hispanic nurses are here. We are leading. We are serving. And we are just getting started.

Today, NAHN Alabama proudly celebrates National Hispanic Nurses Day — honoring the nurses who bring cultura, corazón, skill, and leadership into every space we enter.

We are at the bedside.
We are earning advanced degrees.
We are leading organizations.
We are conducting research.
We are advocating for our communities.
We are mentoring the next generation.

And most importantly, we are making sure the generations coming behind us never have to wonder if they belong in these spaces.

We honor the Hispanic nurses who opened doors before us, celebrate those making an impact today, and continue creating opportunities for those who will come next.

Nuestra cultura. Nuestra voz. Nuestra profesión. Nuestro futuro.

Happy National Hispanic Nurses Day from NAHN Alabama.

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇴🇨🇺🇩🇴🇸🇻🇬🇹 🇺🇸
Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month a time to celebrate the cultures, traditions, stories, and people that make our comunidad so vibrant.

For NAHN Alabama, this month is also a celebration of the Hispanic and Latino nurses who continue to lead, advocate, educate, care, and create change in communities across Alabama and beyond.

Throughout this month, we’ll be celebrating nuestra cultura, nuestra gente, and the contributions Hispanic nurses and healthcare professionals make every single day.
Here’s to honoring our roots, celebrating how far we’ve come, and continuing to build a healthier future together.

Still not over Denver… and honestly, our hearts are still so full. 🏔️💙

What an unforgettable experience at the 51st Annual NAHN Conference!

From reconnecting with our NAHN familia from across the country to learning, growing, and representing Alabama on the national stage, Denver reminded us exactly why this organization means so much. 🩺✨

We were especially proud to cheer on our very own Karla and Dr. Watts as they took the stage for their podium presentation! 🎤👏 Seeing members of our Alabama familia share their knowledge and expertise at a national conference was definitely a proud chapter moment. 💙

Between the education, networking, cultura, laughter, and memories made together, we came back to Alabama even more inspired to continue growing our chapter and advancing NAHN’s mission in our communities.

And if you’re watching all of this thinking, “I should’ve been there…” 👀

Consider this your sign to join NAHN Alabama. Whether you’re a nursing student, new grad, seasoned nurse, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you in our familia.

Come grow, lead, connect, and make some memories with us. 💙

Denver, you were one for the books. Until next year, familia! ✈️🩺

It was a reminder that we belong in these spaces and that we’re never alone on this journey.
So grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every moment 🤍 We will truly miss this feeling. Until next time, NAHN 🫶🏽
