A short clip from our GMUTEE rehearsal today! A sextet, from the larger ensemble, will be performing German-themed music next Friday as apart of @fommason ! These arrangements are written specifically for tuba and euphonium and celebrate this traditional music through tuba and euphonium performances often called OcTUBAfest. These arrangements are apart of the Harvey Phillips foundation and are arranged by Norman Bewley. We are excited to bring some OcTUBAfest spirit to our local community! 🎃

GMUTEE has commissioned and performed over 12 new works for tuba/euphonium ensemble from seven different composers including Kevin Day and Wycliffe Gordon. The group remains as front runner of the low brass department for recruiting students to enjoy and play chamber music and is led by Professors Dr. Max Crofton, Tuba and Dr. Mark Jenkins, Euphonium.
