Looking back on this past week, my heart is filled with so much gratitude. The Strawberry screened to a sold out audience at this year’s @slofilmfest , won Best Central Coast Film and the Audience Award, and most importantly, brought movie lovers and filmmakers together with the SLO community.

I want to give a special shout out to @goldenageskye and her team for putting together an engaging 2026 festival. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

And to the cast and crew of @thestrawberrymovie, it’s an honor to be in your company. Very much looking forward to the journey ahead.

Today is the 3 year anniversary of losing my brother Colin. I can’t help but feel his presence with us today. And as much as I’d love to go back and relive the time we spent together, I’m finding solace in the memories we shared. I love how much of a creative force Colin was. He saw the world differently than most, and I think that’s reflected in his art. I will carry that sentiment with me for the rest of my life. I love you Colin. Thank you for being my brother.

What a kickoff to 2025. @go_dvls and I took a trip to Atlanta, GA to experience what I can only describe as one of the most electrifying, albeit heartbreaking games I’ve ever witnessed. We saw the Arizona State Sun Devils rise of from the ashes after a tumultuous couple of years. Head Coach Kenny Dillingham exceeded expectations, leading their team to the College Football Playoff’s Peach Bowl against the Texas Longhorns.

I first experienced the true magic of college football in 1996 when Arizona State would have a historic season and play in the 1997 Rose Bowl, which I had the privilege of attending. They lost in a heartbreaker, but it cemented my love for the game. No season has been as exciting for the Sun Devils since…until this 2024 season where they were picked dead last in their conference. They not only exceeded expectations, but they won their conference championship and ignited a flame that caught college football by storm.

This Peach Bowl defied all odds. Coming back in the 4th quarter, sending the game into overtime, and having a chance to win at the very end, the game was like a fever dream. So many highs and lows. And what I saw, was an underdog story where the team that lost poured everything they had on the field. Cam Skattebo made an absolute statement with his performance in the game. Even winning the MVP even though his team lost. It’s never happened in Peach Bowl history. A living legend! Seeing all of the commentary, both by pundits and college football fans, it’s evident that the ASU Sun Devils, despite losing the game, were the winners in the eyes of the nation.

Truly blessed to experience this in person. Special thanks to my dad for making it happen.

And what made this trip even better was spending quality time with one of my best mates @caseywieber. Time to get his butt back to CA.

Radio - The Members - 1983

Can’t believe I’ve never heard of these guys. Their sound is ahead of its time. It has funk, punk, reggae(ska), and many other elements of rock including some disco. Talent - that is all hear in this record - and they’re still around so maybe I’ll check em out live if they’re ever in my hood.

What great find @record_surplus - original press in near mint condition (both sleeve and vinyl) at such a great non pretentious price! Productive crate surfing day with @go_dvls - look forward to the next run!

Vicente "Huevo" Romo. Dodger in 1968,1982 🇲🇽
Fernando Valenzuela will get his number retired today, but while he's the most influential and most famous Mexican born baseball player in MLB/LA Dodger history, he wasn't the first Mexican born LA Dodger, that would be Vicente Romo who made his debut in 1968. He would have a decent MLB career (from 1968-1974, 1982) though he had more success in Mexico in particular with Club Tomateros de Culiacan of La Liga Mexicana del Pacifico (Mexico's Winter Baseball League) during the 60's and 70's, and in 1992 was inducted into the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame #vicenteromo #losangelesdodgers #tomaterosdeculiacan #majorleaguebaseball #ligamexicanadelpacifico #beisbol #mexicanpacificleague #autographcollection #60sbaseball #70sbaseball

After 7 days, I’m still digesting the fact that my #1 and bucket list band came from a small town called Crawley in the UK to our City of Angels and rocked us silly and left me all shook up. @thecure is my guiltiest of pleasures in the music world and I am fortunate and blessed to have seen them; not once, but twice on 05/24 & 05/25 this year. To say they got me thru my youth’s darkest hours and still continue to feed my happily sad soul is a true understatement.

Their pioneering sound known as New Wave and Post Punk is pure and deep, dark and heavy, melodic, happy yet sad and just pure fucking genius. Everyone knows @thecure yet many don’t even realize it until one of their many bangers happens to be in the scene. That’s how impactful this band is to music culture and their work is, has been and will always be Close To Me.

Thank you @robertsmith for cutting out your heart and sharing your thoughts along with your life’s work and reminding us that through the pain and suffering, Boys Don’t Cry. £;)

All of this was possible because a beautiful soul was selected through a fair and somewhat heartbreaking lottery style ticket buying program. She got us in twice and we cried, laughed, and danced the night away both nights. She knew how much I wanted and needed this and I am eternally grateful.

@aniraz17 - You are my Caterpillar Girl!
