📚The Stay Joyful Method: Using Joy as a Tool to Rise, Lead, & Redefine Success
🎯Proven strategies for goal setting, networking & leading w/purpose!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Picked up a signed copy of The Stay Joyful Method by Bose Akadiri at tonight’s “The Case for Joy” event. 💗

The book explores using joy as a tool to rise, lead, and redefine success. I’m looking forward to reading it and spending more time with that idea, especially how we make room for joy in our working lives.

Thank you, Bose and Lisa, for a lovely evening of conversation and new connections!

I bet you've been asked at least one of the questions in the top half of this image in the last month... are we right? 😉

I bet no one has asked you the question at the bottom.

Bose Akadiri (@goalandgrind) asks it of everyone she meets. She met a stranger at an event, opened with it, and watched the woman's face light up as she talked about problem-solving and how much she loves a challenge.

So, seeing as you're here. What brings YOU joy?

Then set goals that amplify it, rather than goals you'll celebrate one day if there's time. Life is precious, and there's no reason to wait for some distant goal to celebrate.

The norm is to set a goal, then celebrate once it’s been achieved. But what if we got serious with ourselves about what brings us joy, then set goals that amplify that joy? Flip the script. Life is precious, and there’s no reason to wait for some distant goal to celebrate. 👀

Postponing joy raises the risk of burnout, because you go non-stop without pausing for anything, let alone recognition. And as high-achieving women, we tend to move the goalposts every time we get close, so the celebration never arrives.

That sounds awful! But it's how a lot of us live, Bose Akadiri @goalandgrind included, until she realised the answer was to start with joy, let it guide her decision-making, live in joy on the journey, and amplify it every step of the way.

Joy isn't a bonus round you get to after you've "made it." 🌟

It's what happens the moment your skill and your purpose actually meet.

In this episode of 9 to 5 Wellness, Bose Akadiri @goalandgrind and I dug into why so many of us treat joy like a reward for later — and what changes when you stop waiting for permission to feel it now.

If you've ever wondered whether you have to choose between doing what you're good at and doing what lights you up... this one's for you.

Joy isn't fluffy — it's a strategy. 🔥
This week on 9 to 5 Wellness, I sat down with Bose Akadiri @goalandgrind (motivational speaker, corporate trainer, and CEO of Goal and Grind LLC) to talk about burnout, disengagement, and why joy might be the most underrated leadership tool you're not using.
We're talking the joy bubble, the accomplishments journal, the "triple win," and her three C's for staying joyful even on the hard days.
If your team — or you — is running on empty, this one's for you. 🎧

Behind the scenes of the first recording today🎙️✨

Some of my favorite conversations happen when the mic is on and we’re just talking — and this episode was one of those.

We got into what it really means to bring joy into your workday, and corporate organizations!

I left this session learning so much more about JOY than when I walked in. I love curiosity and learning new stuff everyday🧐

Thanks onto my awesome guest Bose Akadiri- @goalandgrind and @bossierthanever for talking about all things JOY!

⭐️⭐️⭐️That’s the magic of this podcast for me — it’s not just about wellbeing, it’s about connecting with people who care about building a career (and a life) that actually feels good.

New episode coming your way this Sunday💛
