#waybackwednesday to the 1995 Major Indoor Lacrosse League Championship game at the Philadelphia Spectrum.

The crease dive was something I had never faced in Canadian Box Lacrosse, needless to say… it took a little bit of an adjustment to figure it out. After having my knee compromised (cartilage tear) from a crease dive in Baltimore, I decided to use the opportunity to flatten anyone diving directly at me. In today’s game I see lotsa guys with serious hang-time right in the goalie’s face, makes me wanna get off my sofa and run through their legs 😉

How to play the crease dive is something that will be discussed at length at the NEXT Goalie Academy at the SOUTHEAST Regional in Fort Lauderdale FLORIDA.
We are capping Registration this year, so sign-up early if it’s on your radar.

Flashback to the “Track-Meet” days of pro box.
Running 3 lines with no O/D facilitates non-stop end-to-end action. For a goalie, there was no hiding behind a wall of defensemen (except for TO) More flow, fewer whistles, more fun to watch.
Here a few clips from our St.Paddy’s Day game against the New York Saints.
1) playing a 2 v 1
2) low glove reaction on a horizontal cut
3) be discreet when falling on the attacker

Another LAXtastic box tournament in the books by @usboxla
It was great to see the @cali.lax_allstars and @slack_cactus win Gold in the HS AA Division with a bunch of younger players against a very talented Denver Elite Team.
Always a pleasure to ketchup with the old-school #laxbros - although it appears I need to spend more time in the gym to even be seen with these guys 😉
And as always, UGE Thanks to @gussanchez20 for making it all possible 🙏🏼

Here, a one-handed stick-swinging stick-check on a crease diving Toronto Rock player.
I feel a goalie should be the aggressor on specific types of “crease plays” These scenarios will be covered during the Goalie Academy at the USBOXLA Western Box Lacrosse Championship in San Jose CA, July 31 • 8-12pm
