I started to dig in the proverbial "crates" and pull out pics of the twins over the last 20 years but decided just to use some of what I captured at their soiree on Saturday.

I met the twins in high school. I was a senior and they were freshmen. Racheal was my "little sister" randomly assigned to me by whoever it was that decided to create a Big Sister/Little Sister program at DSA.

We met as adults while attending Marygrove in 2003 and were fast, and eventually, best friends.

You can't be friends with one twin and not be friends with the other so I am grateful to call Becky my sister-friend too.

I had the honor of helping them both start their loc journies, and it has spread through the whole family. 💁🏾‍♀️

The twins are so loveable that there are literal arguments about who is whose BFF. To be honest, I'm just glad to be in the family. Her mother has taken my children in as her grandkids and all the kids know I'm Auntie.

It's been a wild ride, and I'm glad to have rode along and to have bore witness. Thank you two for always appearing fearless and showing folks what it looks like to live in your light even when you're shaking in your boots.

Happy 40th Racheal & Rebecca. 💙

Good Morning Power People. I’m the kind of woman who has a flower subscription for herself. Why? Because flowers bring me joy and inspiration everyday. They remind me that I’m worth it. What do you do to remind yourself that you’re worth it? Comment below 👇🏽 Thank you @urbanstems for the subscription service! Thank you @goliveinyourlight for introducing me to flowers by #urbanstems 🙏🏽🌹🌸🌺🌼

🗣🗣🗣Shout out to @shecanwinnow and founder @iamryanstarr for a phenomenal #SCWSCBrunch today! The virtual awards ceremony, brunch and after party was nothing short of excellent!! It was a great day to celebrate and honor #BlackWomen and their imprint in politics and their movement work!

Thank you for a #Saturday of witnessing the #SheCanWin leadership baton being passed, reflection, and laughs. Indeed this event embodied the tenets of #ShirleyChisholm and her dedication to public service.

Oh to add to the amazing virtual event, the #VIP swag is amazing!!! I don’t have my #SheCanWin coffee mug pictured because it’s upstairs on my bookshelf!🙌🏾

And always know that #SheCanWin and does!👏🏾💛

Happy Frolic Friday, Fam!

I’m still reflecting on all the complex lessons that 2021 shared with me.

What I can say is despite the deep grief, sadness and severe health problems, I am so grateful for all of the joy and of course the Fro•lic•in’ !

Most importantly, I’m proud of myself for fulfilling my charge for the year: to show up and love- up -on my people …and that I did.

Here’s some snapshots of some of the best moments with some of my favorite people ❤️. Since I could only fit 10, see my stories for more joy 🤸🏾‍♂️

I’m entering this new calendar year filled to the brim with gratitude.

🎉🎉🎉We did it!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Now that the dust has settled and the checks have been cut ,I wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported the launch of #FrolicCulture .

Whether you bought a shirt( swipe 👀) sent me a message or, were inspired to choose your wholeness.. thank you!

Launching something is scary af but I’m so grateful to the people who helped in anyway they could especially, the campaign team: @becomingdrbrew @katiehark24 @convoswithcorryn @dcapo11

I wouldn’t have been able to launch in this way with out the love and support of the Highland Center through the visionary @gildapapoose !!Thank you for trusting my wild vision and I’m so excited for what we are going to roll out next year 👀

Don’t worry, this is only the beginning! There’s more coming soon! If you want to be the first to know what’s popping, doing forget to join the #FrolicFam ( link in bio)

Y’all, if you’re dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough!

Here’s to giving ourselves permission to dream, boldly and to chase our wholeness by any means necessary❤️

Now, go Frolic 🤸🏾‍♂️

One of my favorite things about what I do is that I'm able to document the process.

Now that "process" looks different for everyone of course, but seeing it unfold in real time and figuring out how best to capture it in an authentic way is SO inspiring.

You often hear the phrase "do the work", but what does that look like? Here's a quick mini gallery of some of my clients doing *their* work :)
