Took 2nd place on stage 1 today at the @volusiacountygunclub (even with that pesky malfunction), and 6/16 overall in CO division. I leaned heavily into pushing my split speed where I could today, and it certainly paid off. Got something pretty cool in the works for my Shadow 2, coming soon from our guys at @division3weapons 👀

B Class Bandit @flip_flop_scott dragged some of us to go shoot a classifier up in Gainesville last weekend. @jordan.r1a and I planned on playing it mostly execution to see our performance on demand and push just a little -Steely Speed VII (06-10) - 5.6180 HF -Paper Poppers (03-05) - 6.5531 HF -(reshoot for equipment) -Can You Strong Hand Weak Hand? (24-01) - 7.6398 HF -The Thrill Of The Bill Drill (24-04) - 6.0769 HF -El Prez (99-11) - 6.4362 HF -Times Two (99-10) - 6.1810 HF -stage that was dropped out of the classifier for everyone 🤷🏻‍♂️ -just trying to touch tips 👉🏽👈🏽 with @jordan.r1a running El Prez 0.20 quicker than me. Peep those jerseys 👀 that @flip_flop_scott designed. Piloting that short bus with these clowns in the back. Makes me laugh every time I see it - @aj.figueroa3 giving us the participation trophies for a long hot day with the after lunch group pic - @worstbrandworldwide with the daily reminders Long and hot day. Good ol Florida summer but it was still fun. We were there for Scott… Almost forgot @glockinc 47 w/performance trigger @chpws brass butt plug @trijicon SRO 5moa #imhereforscott #thesundayspecials #volusiatopgun #theharddeck #theskiffshop

Had a great time shooting the USPSA classifier match yesterday. Also got to shoot with the team, and Scott had some pretty badass/funny jerseys made up for us to wear. 😂 Definitely walked away with a much better idea of what I need to start practicing more. First lesson: I need to learn how to count under pressure. Apparently once the timer goes BEEP, numbers become optional. 😂 In my defense, they knew what they were getting when they let a Marine play a sport involving math. We were trained to shoot things, not count them. 🖍️🦅🌎⚓️ Second lesson: malfunction drills. I need a lot more practice clearing failures to feed and double feeds. I don’t get many malfunctions when I’m practicing and using my STACCATO 😉so when one happens during a match, my brain apparently decides it’s the perfect time to start troubleshooting like I’ve never seen a pistol before. 🤣 Third lesson: STOP GRABBING THE DAMN MAG DURING RELOADS. 😂 I swear I can practice reloads at home all week and they look smooth as hell. Then the timer goes off at a match and suddenly I’m trying to strip the magazine back out of the gun like it’s personally offended me. 🤦‍♂️ It’s funny how USPSA exposes every little weakness you didn’t know you had. You can practice something a hundred times perfectly, but throw in a timer, some pressure, and people watching and suddenly you’re discovering brand-new ways to screw it up. 😂 But that’s also what makes it fun. Had a blast, learned a lot, got humbled a little, and came home with a much longer practice list. Count better. Clear malfunctions faster. Quit fighting my own magazines. Basically, eat fewer crayons and dry fire more. 🖍️😂🇺🇸

They say your vibe attracts your tribe. I just want to give a shout out to the friends and family who are always checking up on me and making sure I’m ok. Even if I’m not okay they give a listening ear followed by a hug and or an outpour of positive thoughts and encouragement. I’ve learned so much about myself and my own brain function in the past 6 months. It has been an eye opening experience as well as a frustrating one. Just when I think I’m better, I get a set back. I’ve come to accept that life is just sometimes messy and it definitely doesn’t always make sense. Every day I’m getting stronger than I was the day before. Focusing on the accomplishments that happen one day at a time! Extremely grateful and thankful for those that help in their own way to help me heal from the inside out. You are my people, you are my tribe. A couple of people missing from this reel as I couldn’t find pics of us together but knowing you reach out to catch up is really all I need. @her.salty.soul @walkingjeansart @sean.baum @hillary.griffin.79 @tuxchunk #friendship #family #positivity #yourvibeattractsyourtribe #mentalhealthmatters #concussionrecovery #dontstopbelieving #flightattendantlife #encouragement #motivate #support #healingenergy

The Neon Museum in Las Vegas should definitely be on your list of things to do off the beaten path. This is where all the Neon signs from hotels and casinos come when they change their logos or retire hotel names. This museum was founded in 1996 and it is dedicated to collecting and preserving iconic Las Vegas signs. A lot to see during the day but they also have a night tour as well that they offer. There is also a helicopter company that does tours over head so you can see all the lights. I’ve been wanting to goto the neon museum for a long time. I was happy to check it off my list but definitely doing the night tour the next time I’m in town. You can find out more about this great museum at their website theneonmuseum.org Tammy and I had a great time visiting. @healed.honey @theneonmuseumlasvegas #theneonmuseumlasvegas #visitlasvegas #offthebeatenpath #museumoflight #nonprofit #casinolights #shinebright #lasvegas #lasvegastourism #lasvegasnevada #flightattendantlife #wheninvegas #dontstopbelieving #dreamscometrue #livingmybestlife #april2022 #ding #freetomoveaboutthecountry
