🌀𝐹𝒶𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓅𝒾𝓇𝒶𝓁🌀 Curated by Ashley Gifford of Art & About, this group show brings together four Portland-based artists — Anya Roberts-Toney, Claire Elliott, Melissa Monroe, and Claiborne Colombo — alongside Kalispell, Montana artist Tessa Heck, with an original poem by Morgan Ritter. The work explores motherhood not as one fixed experience, but as something that loops and repeats — creation and exhaustion, tenderness and grief, routine and transformation — echoing the spiral that gives the show its name. Today is the last chance to catch it on the walls but if you’re interested in a piece DM us or @goodluck_gallery or email to inquire! Thank you Tessa!! Thank you to all the artists for the trust and the honor to share your work! Thank you to the Kalispell community for coming by and to Portland and online communities for supporting from far away and virtually! Thank you thank you thank you!! ♥️♥️♥️ #fallingthroughthespiral #goodluckgallery #artandaboutpdx

It was an absolute joy and privilege to curate a show with this incredible lineup or artists — @melissamonroeart @anyajrt @claibuco @claire.elliott.art — all of whom which I admire their artistic practice and talent. Happening amongst and alongside their lives, and in motherhood.🌀 and to be invited by @tessaheck_studio at her sweet up and coming @goodluck_gallery 〰️ for a couple of years now Tessa and I have had a dialogue about the openness >< constraints of being a parent and an artist, the shifts in identity and how we navigate all of the importance in our lives. This is all wrapped up on personal thoughts on these monumental yet ever so slowly and slightly shifts, where fertility and personal expression, wants and dreams come in to play, and how all of this can and should exist together. thank you to @raisin_consciousness for writing a poem about this work and show that encompasses so many of these thoughts and feelings. Thank you to my friend @kyle_cohlmia for emotional and physical support driving to the show and being the most understanding friend, especially in the last 3 years since becoming a mum myself. 🌀 𝐹𝒶𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓅𝒾𝓇𝒶𝓁 is on view until September 11th, let me know if you would like an image or price list or inquiry directly with the gallery. Xx
