Just a spooky little guy proving that sewing doesn’t have to be expensive.

These Jack-o-lantern treat bags are sooo popular right now that I had to make myself one and I’m super into upcycling right now so he’s mainly thrifted fabrics! It was such a quick and cute little project and the orange sequins make the best face. I free-hand cut the eyes and mouth of my face and used one of the thicker decorative stitches on my machine to appliqué it on.

Pattern Used: Halloween Trick or Treat Basket Pattern by KLee2Strings on Etsy $5
Main Body Fabric: Thrifted woven Halloween Napkins from Goodwill. I used both the right and wrong sides of the napkins to have alternating black and grey pieces. $3
Face Fabric: Orange Sequin Mesh from @faubourgfabrics (1/4 yard $3)
Lining Fabric (not pictured): Two Lime Green Fat Quarters from the Dollar Tree $3
Binding and Strap: Bias Strips I grabbed for free at a local community craft swap at Jefferson Parish Libraries.

Total Cost: $14

Thank you to our new partner, @goodwillsela! Together, they helped us assemble over 3,700 Southern Purple Grits for the @kreweofiris to be caught during Mardi Gras 2027! 💜💚💛

We are honored to team up with their Workforce Development program that helps people with vocational disadvantages develop work skills and earn accessible income. 🤝

We loved working with the krewe and can’t wait to continue this partnership throughout the fall! 🙌

Day 2 of @nolafashionweek - This was the first event I was able to attend after resting and coming off the high of @erixieo s/s ‘27 showing ( more of that coming soon ) 🇲🇽

Anywho, today was a sneak peek of @anyoldiron newest location opening in our great city of New Orleans ⚜️

The store, the clothes, and the owner was super cool and I can’t wait to get me a sponsor to buy me some items 😝🤑

Also shout out to @bylauracitron I got to meet her in person ( she’s a cutie ) She also has items that will be available for purchase in store once it’s officially opened!!

Special shoutout to @goodwillsela for the dress and tie - baby I can make a thrifted outfit look like a million bucks!!! The real gag is that the total cost of the dress, tie, and shirt was $20 😌😌😌

So if you’d like some sustainable styling sessions DM me!!

Have you ever wondered where your dollars go when you shop at Goodwill — or what that “round up” at the register actually helps support? 👀💙

I recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes with Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana and learn more about the work happening beyond the sales floor.

These are stores I shop at all the time, so getting to see firsthand how those purchases help support programs and services in our local communities made this visit even more meaningful.

A huge thank you to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana for inviting me in, showing me around, and giving me a closer look at the mission behind the stores we all know. 🤎

Next time you’re thrifting, just remember — there’s a whole lot happening behind that Goodwill sign.
