Played my second Japan track at @thewightbear on a Sunday bring your own vinyl afternoon. Love being able to share music that means so much and a part of my life and other fun stuff too. Before this it was Talk Talk and It’s My Life and also Dr Albarn with It’s My Life. Wasn’t able to get Bon Jovi track yes 😂. So, it’s your life, live it how you want. The crowd is fantastic.

Thanks to everyone (including George) who came to the @the_sobo_house end of summer Fiesta del Vermut! It was most definitely the end of summer. And it was most definitely a festival of vermouth! We saw off 6 bottles but have a bounty of part-bottles left to see us through autumn.

🀄 Dorset… I think we found our Mahjong community. 💗

On 21st August, we held our very first Mahjong Social Club Dorset session — and you absolutely packed it out. 🥹

When I moved to Dorset, I wanted somewhere local where I could play mahjong, meet people and have fun. I couldn’t find anything quite like what I had in mind… so I thought, why not create it?

Seeing complete beginners learning their first game, experienced players getting stuck in, people meeting for the first time, laughing around the tables and enjoying the evening together was exactly what I hoped this club could become.

We played Hong Kong-style mahjong 🀄
🍵 Enjoyed Chinese tea & snacks
🍷 Had a little wine tasting
🏆 Competed for some fun prizes
💗 And, most importantly, made new connections.

To everyone who came to our first night, helped, supported, shared our posts or told someone about the club — THANK YOU.

You made our first night better than I could have imagined.

And now… we do it all again. 👀🀄

📅 NEXT SESSION: 18th September
⏰ 6:00pm | 90 minutes
🎟️ £8.50 per person
✨ £25.50 for 4 sessions — pay for 3, get your 4th FREE

Beginners, intermediate and experienced players are all welcome.

📱 Message me on WhatsApp: 07872 609028 to book your place.

Come for the Mahjong. Stay for the community. 💗

Last night was a little bit special 🀄️🍷✨

Our very first Mahjong Social Club session brought together an amazing group of locals for an evening of mahjong, new connections, plenty of laughs… and a taste of Thailand 🇹🇭

We were delighted to collaborate with @monsoonvalleyuk , who kindly gifted us their wines to introduce to our community here on the South Coast. Everyone had the chance to taste the wines throughout the evening, with 3 lucky winners taking home a bottle of their own 🍾

We were also joined by our special guests @jessica.toale and @james_edwards_lees — such a pleasure having you around the mahjong tables with us.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made our first session such a success. This is exactly what Mahjong Social Club is about: bringing people together, trying something new and creating a community around the table. 🀄️❤️

Here’s to the first of many.

Thank you @monsoonvalleyuk for being part of it 🍷

We hope to see @monsoonvalleyuk in our Local Thai Restaurants 🙏 😀 😄
