To the class of TYBAMMC,

Y’all have been total sweethearts since day one. Be it online lectures, amongus phase, online jamming sessions or be it group assignments, y’all have been amazing! Thankyou for making my “college life” worth it. Y’all have been the kindest and sweetest for a person like me, who’s never really gotten a chance to experience good friendships in school and high school. The 15 year old Bansari would be smiling and crying and blushing her heart out if she’d seen that her college buddies are so much better and so much wholesome. We’ve had our odds and evens but maybe if the timings were right and we’d gotten one more chance, maybe, this time we would’ve made this “iconic” batch more interesting and iconic? It’s been a pleasant ride w the 52 idiots. Thankyou, for the CHAOS AND CONFUSION. ❤️

the past few years with @den_jaipur ✨

I met Vinayak right before the pandemic when he was trying to set up Den, quite literally by making an underground refrigerator from scratch (crazy!).
This week, Den would shut down (for a short time, hopefully). And I want to take a moment to celebrate what an incredible journey this has been.

Nothing hurts me more than seeing community spaces fading away. In recent years, we have seen many many communities, especially those centered around art, diminishing. And trust me when I say, this is a disaster — for the city, for the country, more so for the people — for us.

Each time I visited Den, I grew so much, learned so much about food & myself, built so much faith in my abilities, and gathered the courage to do some of the most joyful things. A part of who I am today draws its everyday inspiration from this place and my many interactions here.

Physical spaces might shut down — the community space must always grow, within hearts.

And meanwhile, if you can, go out and support these community spaces around you. Add them to your calendar. Show up, recommend, refer, connect people and build your community. In this life, everything is fleeting, but love. Love expands.
