We’ve always known it, but Jaxson continues to prove just how determined, resilient, and full of grit he is.

Today was his first day of chemotherapy, and he still had a smile on his face.

In May, Jaxson was diagnosed with colon cancer. In June, he underwent surgery to remove 20 cm of his colon. Today, we begin the next phase of this journey and the fight ahead. He has had nothing but the beak care at Newman Regional Health, Kansas Medical Center and Cancer Center of Emporia.

This road won’t be easy, but we know Jaxson won’t walk it alone. He has the love and support of three amazing communities, along with family and friends, surrounding him every step of the way. Every message, prayer, meal, visit, and act of kindness has reminded us that he wont face this battle alone.

Jaxson is taking this challenge one day at a time with the same courage, determination, and grit that have always defined him. We know there will be hard days, but we also know God is faithful, hope is stronger than fear, and Jaxson is ready to fight.

Please continue to keep Jaxson in your prayers as we take this journey one treatment, one day, and one victory at a time.
