Almost a year and a half later of making it Beautiful, @heathersmusical closed last night after over 500 performances and I couldn’t be more grateful ❤️💙💛💚

Heathers was the first chair I’ve ever held on a musical in New York City, and I couldn’t be more grateful to @kristynorter @sarajacovino for the opportunity. I’ve grown so much as a musician and as a person, and I feel so lucky that this show and its people came into my life at the time that it did.

The @mythicpitches became my family in a time where I was fresh out of undergrad, and felt unprepared and confused about which direction to go in next. Their musicianship and friendship has been so vital to my growth since the show opened and I’m grateful for each and every one of them. @seanmurphybass @neiljohnsonwoodwinds @chopes26 @dombly @greg_joseph_drums

Thank you to the two loveliest Music Directors @mona_s_b_ and @jkight237 for keeping the ship afloat.

Thank you to our INCREDIBLE cast for being out in the front every night and for playing along with us backstage. We LOVE you guys 💗

Thank you to my incredible subs that saved me so many times!

Thank you to @theo_aaa_ @germanthesounddesigner for mixing everything and making us sound good. Thank you to all of the crew, management, SM, our Director @herrdirektor and @paul_taylor_mills for giving this show life. Thank you to EVERYONE involved that made Westerburg so special. I wish I could tag everyone, but there’d be 100 names.

Happy Trails to all of us and I can’t wait to see what comes next ❤️💙💛💚

It’s that time of year again 🎺 With a few memories from last year, I’m getting ready for the 24th edition of the Festival of New Trumpet Music, which I once again had the pleasure of helping to curate and organize.

Plenty of trumpet and even more exciting music are just one reason to visit New York. I can’t wait to come back.

Check out the full program here @trumpetfest — Very happy to be collaborating with @davedouglas @allisonphilipstrumpet and @igniteanoise on this!

i think i’m going to start trying to capture gigs in this way because it’s a nice snapshot of time. of history. today hearing @eltipo79 and playing along with the amazing trumpet section of @gilevansproject reminded me that the history of this music is still being made each day, whenever people are gathering together to play. how awesome is it to play gil’s music and hear so many of my heroes and friends multiple days in a row. grateful to share the back row with @danurness @gracefoxtrpt @jheim_nyc @augiehaas at @thepocketnyc
