Why Games?
We get asked this question a lot of times.

Over the years one thing I have discovered is our childhood has the power to shape us and who we become…..
So can you remember how your childhood was?

For me, it was filled with stories, tales my grandfather told my sister and me about our tribe, the heroes of our land, and the people who fought to make the world a better place.

What if we could inspire a new generation of heroes? With 60% of Africa’s population under 25 and a surge in mobile technology, I saw an opportunity.

A way to merge social impact, gaming, and real-world action into something powerful.

That’s how GreenQuest was born.

At GreenQuest, we don’t just educate through games. We equip young people with upcycling skills, turning plastic waste into art, furniture, and resources for their communities. Because change isn’t just about knowing, it’s about doing.
This isn’t just a game. It’s a movement. A movement of hope, inclusion, and empowerment.

All thanks to God Almighty for giving me this opportunity to showcase myself at the Fuze talent show, it was not an easy task in this journey but regardless by the grace of God I scaled through and it's only by his Grace and favor 🙏

Tho I didn't emerge as the winner but I'm still a winner and I give God all the glory for making me one 🙏

And this is a warm appreciation from the depth of my heart to all the people that supported me through this journey, form my mum 🤭 my siblings, Friends and well wishers who took out their amazing time to vote for me constantly i really greatfull to y'all and God bless y'all abundantly

@gracejamesofficial_’s GreenQuest is an innovation platform expanding climate education in Nigeria and beyond through gamification 🕹️

Working with community groups and small enterprises, the platform creates both video and board games that allow players to engage in climate-related challenges, including waste reduction, conservation, and sustainable development. As they progress, players earn rewards, aimed at empowering them to take real-world action 🧝💪

To date, @playgreenquest has engaged over 1,500 children on the ground and thousands more in their virtual realm. Through their gamified waste reduction challenges, the platform has also removed hundreds of tons of plastic waste from communities around Nigeria 💚

Combining storytelling and interactive learning, is addressing the gaps in current climate education while creating a fun, inclusive environment for participants to be part of the change. As the platform grows, Grace plans to expand its impact across West Africa, aiming to reach more underserved communities and equip them with tools to tackle the climate issues affecting them at a regional scale.

Grace is being mentored by @liam_y, a designer, film director and BAFTA nominated producer who operates in the spaces between design, fiction and futures.
