We lingered in Puglia for our last retreat of the year. Time moved like honey, and our days were dotted with sea swims, a boat to a hidden cave, beautiful food, yoga, candlelit tables under the stars + sauna chats late into the night.

We were carried away in a world of flowers with our artist-in-residence, @cielsora.studio , @graceoffields drew us to the table with every meal, and @bryni captured us in our element. Thank you to the tender group of women who joined us. We can’t wait to return to our friends at beautiful Villa Aquamarina in 2027.

People often ask me how I became a photographer.
I think the simplest answer is that I fell in love with observing people.

But especially women.

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet power of a woman, in all the different versions of her life.
The woman who feels like a queen on her wedding day.
The woman building something of her own.
The woman creating, working, loving, carrying, becoming.
The woman before motherhood, inside motherhood, and somewhere in between remembering herself.

Over the years, my camera has given me the privilege of crossing paths with so many extraordinary women, many of them through the wedding industry. And without really intending to, I found myself documenting their lives beyond the weddings, their friendships, their work, their pregnancies, their babies, their families, their ordinary days and extraordinary chapters.

These photographs are pieces of those stories from winter of 2026

On the last day of our Provence retreat, we marked one full year of Linger.

Six retreats in changing landscapes and historic spaces, each resonating with us in their own ways, artists in residence teaching across four beautiful mediums, and incredible women who travelled from all over the world. How lucky we have been to share in this with you all.

We started Linger because we believe deeply in taking care of each other, in art and beauty as essential to our shared humanity, and that each of us is connected. We are one year in, and that belief has only grown.

To everyone who lingered with us this past year, thank you! You’ve made this work incredibly special for us, and we hope to linger with you again.
