Your strength. Your softness. The way you love people. The way you mother. The way you somehow continue to carry beauty even after life has given you every reason to harden.⠀

We somehow found our way back to each other through in this lifetime due to immeasurable loss. The kind of loss that changes us forever. And somehow, inside all of that loss, our sisterhood was one of the greatest gifts.⠀

I’m so grateful our lives merged in this lifetime, because I genuinely cannot imagine my world without you in it now. And whatever comes after this life, I’ll find you again. In the next lifetime and the next and the next. You can't escape me, sis! I will always find your ass! 🤣⠀

And watching you continue to love and honor Derek and his girls is something I will never stop admiring. I know he feels so much pride and gratitude not only for the woman you are, but for the mother you are and the way you continue to carry his love forward, protect his memory, honor what mattered to him, and pour that love into the girls.

A few years ago, you’d have looked at my life & thought I was fine. I was “the strong one," which mostly meant I was good at hiding my suffering until I hit a rock bottom so hard I wasn’t sure I’d live to tell about it. The grief, deaths & nights wondering how much more loss one person could absorb before something inside finally broke. I came close. 😓⠀

I spent endless days & nights crying on the bathroom floor trying to rebuild a life when the blueprint I was handed fell apart. No money, no family other than those who depended on ME for their care...⠀
⠀
Maybe some of you reading this have been there. When everyone tells you to “stay strong” while you’re hanging by a thread screaming “Why is this happening to me?!” only left me more helpless. So I started asking “Who am I becoming because of it?”⠀
⠀
That question changed my life. Somewhere in the middle of the chaos (& profound psilocybin journeys) I realized the goal wasn't to avoid suffering. It was to become someone who could walk thru the fire & reinvent herself on the other side of it.⠀
⠀
There were earth angels who helped me & my daughter. Whether you handed me an opportunity, wisdom, a check-in, or support when I wasn’t sure how I’d cover rent while caring for three elderly & disabled family members... if you’re tagged here it's cuz you have reminded me that community isn’t built in our victories but revealed in our collapse. To everyone else not tagged you are appreciated & loved.⠀

That’s why I’m building Renaissance IX. It's NOT another motivational page cuz God knows we have enough. @renaissance.ix exists cuz too many people are drowning in info while starving for activation. Everyone wants to talk about trauma and healing. Almost no one talks about what comes next. How do you rebuild when you've lost so much or even yourself? That’s the conversation I’m here for. The messy, brutal work of self-mastery. Sometimes life tears down the version of you built for survival, so the version built for freedom finally has room to emerge.⠀

🦋 Today is Children’s Grief Awareness Day - A day marked by the blue butterfly, symbolizing hope for the young hearts who carry loss quietly. Children & Teens are often called the “forgotten mourners,” expected to be strong long before they should ever have to be. Today, we remind them that they are SEEN. They are not alone. We must surround them with the care they deserve and need. As adults we must never be too caught up in our own feelings that we forget: CHILDREN HAVE A VOICE TOO. ⠀

For Lyric, this truth hits deep. Bella, you are such a blessing in Lyric's life. Your strength even amidst your own pain has been a lighthouse for Lyric. You’ve guided your little sister with the kind of love & grace far beyond your years. You both lift each other up when the rest of the world can feel too heavy. Dad would be so proud of the ways you've stepped up. Seeing the bond between you both continuing to grow is so beautiful to witness. ⠀
