someone recently suggested I get a tattoo of Princess Bubblegum on the my other forearm and while loving the idea I was suprised by my own response… “or I wait till I meet someone with PB on their arm”. 🌈✨💕

FRIDAY FEB 6TH

FLASH DAY AT HOT DAMN TATTOO

Our beloved friend and coworker @hellscribe has fallen onto hard times, an injury to his dominant arm has rendered him unable to work. Our shop is putting together a benefit flash day for him, our proceeds from the day going directly to Ryan.

Flash day starts at noon, designs starting at $200, stop by to get tatted or to drop off a donation. We will be able to take both walks ups and sign ups- if you’d like to reserve an appointment slot, reach out to your desired artist directly!

I appreciate your support and your presence in this community.

You help keep natural building moving forward. Your questions, your projects, and your willingness to learn shape the work I do every day.

I hope you enjoy time with people you care about and create moments you value. 🧡🍁🧡

Peaches in color or black and gray - which do you prefer?

It’s always an honor to tattoo other tattooers. The color one is for my friend @devdoestattoos who has somehow trusted me with several tattoos so far, and the black and gray is for my friend @grandparoadkill, who I love enough to do a black and gray tattoo on, but don’t love enough to miss whatever Blazers game I had to go to after the first season on this tattoo, so we had to finish it up today. The right side is all healed though, and it was nice to see what the grays looked like since I don’t do black and gray very often.

It’s been so fun to see both of these tattooers grow over the past few years. They both make incredible work and you should definitely get tattooed by them.

Hot Damn!! It’s @grandparoadkill ❤️‍🔥
A longtime Portland resident and ex-art school kid, Crowley brings a unique mix of influences to their tattooing. Drawing inspiration from animation, graphic novels, magic, science, mythology, and the natural world, they combine traditional and fine-line techniques with a distinct illustrative style. While they’re most experienced in black and grey work, Crowley is excited to explore more color in their pieces. Whether it’s a large-scale tattoo or a delicate design, Crowley loves collaborating with clients to create personalized, meaningful tattoos in a welcoming and inclusive space. Outside the studio, they’re usually reading multiple books, hiking, binging video essays on YouTube, or diving into new music.

Customs and flash are booked separately, with availability updated on Instagram. They’re typically booked out two months at a time and check email weekly. You can book through their website at crowleyzwartjes.com/booking. Flash designs range from $200 to $500, with custom pricing based on size and budget to accommodate as many clients as possible.

OH HOT DAMN, WE’VE GOT A NEW NAME!

I Heart Tattoo has a new name:
🔥 Hot Damn Tattoo 🔥

You can find us in our usual space, located at 1829 NE Alberta Street in our same second floor studio, under a new name! Our co-op continues on with @ismonkah @awwwsin @grandparoadkill and @codyzeek at the helm, along with @hellscribe - and together we offer expert tattooing informed by 40+ years of collective tattoo experience.

We will miss @conniegabbert so much and wish her nothing but the best on the next phase of her journey. Keep an eye out for Connie’s return for guest spots or flash days here or there, where we will welcome her back with open arms! With her departure, we found it fitting to rebrand the shop (the heart and eyeball thing was kinda her style) and here we are!

Thank you to all of our clients and friends that have followed us through all the name changes. This isn’t an end of an era but more of a continuation of all the good stuff we’ve built along the way. Stop by and check us out!
