First full season for Grant Wolfram’s career was a great one! More excellent performances yet to come starting next season. Here’s a video to sum up the season 🔥

Just before the 2026 regular season began, I made a post predicting 15 completely random players to have a breakout campaign for no real rhyme or reason. Six months later and with the regular season in the rearview, let's see how accurate I was with these assorted picks.

Did any of these surprise you during the year? Would you change any evaluation? Comment below!

Grant Wolfram took a step up in 2026 to make the 3rd most appearances by an Orioles pitcher with 60, posting a 4.30 ERA with 13 holds and recording consistent strikeout numbers as well as much better walk numbers than last year. Though this was a fine season, he has potential to really build himself into a solid arm in 2027.

Denzer Guzmán spent over half the season at third base for a patched up Angels squad, but failed to stand out with the bat after hitting just .219/.266/.336 with eight homers and 78 strikeouts. His .601 OPS was among the lowest in the Halos lineup, but he benefits from only being 22 and having time to figure it out.

Daylen Lile cemented himself as the Nationals' starting right fielder in 2026 by swatting 22 home runs and driving in 89 to go with 15 stolen bases and a .725 OPS across a team-leading 160 games. It was a fine follow-up to his rookie season, and the only way to keep going is up at age 23.

Injuries unfortunately hampered Zach Cole during the 2026 season and limited him to 70 MiLB games and just 19 at the major league level with the Astros. He batted .157 with three homers in that small sample of 53 plate appearances, but he'll look to have a healthier go about it next year.

Although he only got 15 games to show it, Angel Chivilli was very good for the Yankees after a rough time with the Rockies. After allowing a run in his first outing, he proceeded to not allow any during his next 13 games, and his numbers only look bad because of that 15th and last game in which he allowed six runs. The Bronx Bombers will undoubtedly let him earn a spot in the bullpen for 2027.

GW pitches 1 inning with 2 nasty strikeouts in the 7-3 loss to the Blue Jays 🔥

Sorry, I may have confused people by having the Blue Jays player the first thing everyone saw. I also redid the post again because MLB made the second video a bit weird with the zoom.
