Super chuffed to announce that I’m going to be the new external examiner for the @graphics_ljmu degree course (graphics pathway) at @ljmu. Cheers to @hooper_pedestrian for inviting me to take on the role; looking forward to getting stuck in and also re-connecting with some former work colleagues from over a decade ago — @hils_o, @jonathanjspencer and @c_s_jackson!

Last Friday I had the pleasure to be invited by Pete from Liverpool John Moores University @ljmu @graphics_ljmu to give a talk for the Graphic Design & Illustration programme. I was excited to be the first speaker for the Visual Communication Cultures module this semester! 📒🌳

The course covers creative practices such as Play, Craft and Community, which really resonate with the art approaches I’ve been exploring these years. Besides sharing my journey towards becoming a mixed-media artist and illustrator (including how my academic background in industrial design and critical design continues to influence my practice!), I also shared a few projects connected to some of the module’s themes, including climate crisis and emerging technologies.

♥️ It was super lovely meeting the students, and I hope they found the talk useful! Thank you again Pete and LJMU for having me. (Also very excited to speak at the John Lennon Art & Design Building ✨)

This summer we had @ntugraphics student @rosafergdesign transform our courtyard windows. We want to make this a regular feature as part of our commitment to supporting students in the design and built environment disciplines.

We are looking for a student to design and implement a mural for the front window of our office in Manchester throughout the Autumn season. We’re offering £300 plus reasonable materials to the selected design

Applications welcomed from UK based University students studying design disciplines including: Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture,Graphic Design and Fine Art. You would need to be willing to implement the design in person at our Manchester studio.

If you would like to be considered please submit your ideas in PDF format and a short CV to info@lucidstudio.co
