315 LBS. ONE FUNCTIONING ACL. AND A WHOLE LOT OF WORK NOBODY SAW. ⚡︎

Last ski season I tore my ACL, MCL, and damaged my meniscus. Haven’t squatted anything over 225 for reps since.

No surgery. Just months of running, rebuilding strength, training around my limitations, and doing everything I can to prepare for another winter, and a 100 mile ultra finish on December 12.

Today I wanted to see where I stood.

No brace. 315 on the bar. Controlled reps.

And man, I can’t even explain what that meant to me.

Am I healed? Absolutely not.
Was this risky? Absolutely.
Will I be wearing my brace moving forward and on the mountain? You better believe it.⚡︎

But there’s something about getting back under a weight you weren’t sure you’d ever touch again.

I couldn’t just drop that thun thun thun like I used to. Every rep requires extra control, but right now, THAT means more to me than the number on the bar.

This isn’t proof that my knee is fixed. It’s a reminder of how much work I’ve put in and how much more I have ahead of me.

And that’s exactly why I love training.

You don’t have to be where you used to be to start building toward where you want to go.

Ski season is coming, and I’m taking preparation seriously.

If you’re ready to build strength, confidence, and discipline heading into winter, COME TRAIN WITH ME. Let’s put in the work together.

Some days you’re fired up. Some days you’re just going through the motions.

Either way, the work still needs to get done.

I’ve wasted enough time waiting to feel like doing the things I already know I need to do.

The goals haven’t changed. The standards shouldn’t either.

Show up tired. Show up distracted. Show up with a hundred other things on your mind.

Just don’t keep making promises to yourself that you’re not willing to keep.

Discipline is built on the days you could’ve talked yourself out of it. ⚡️

Breck and Vail, are you ready?! Snow is on the way, and we’re officially getting that winter feeling. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the first snowfall, knowing everything we love about ski season is just around the corner. Bring on the snow. We’re ready for it!
