🍻 Episode #224: The Gathering Place with Graydon Lau, Catherine Pearson + Scott Bohanna-Martin of @quaylesbrewery ~ Adjunct Series 🍻

We love a destination brewery here at BAOS, and one Ontario space had been generating a ton of praise, to the point where we had to get them on the pod. Located a little over an hour north of Toronto in Oro-Medonte, ON, Quayle’s have been quietly delivering phenomenal beer, a legit sense of community and impeccable vibes since 2020. Co-Founders Graydon (@graydonlau) and Catherine, and Head Brewer Scott (@brewhanna), joined @getitinyacee on the pod to chat about their unique story of loss and strength through adversity, how they’ve used their 87 acres to create a memorable experience for their guests, the approach to their beers and food program, why leaning into local ingredients is key for them, why they always keep new and fresh beer on tap, how Scott’s Aussie roots influence the beer, and the whole process of being hop farmers. They got into nine (yes, 9!) killer Quayle’s brews: Line 12 Helles Lager, Right Bauer German-style Pilsner, Quayle’s Gold Mid-Strength Lager, Keller Door Oktoberfest Lager, Hayloft Hoppy Saison, Grinch Vs Scrooge Hazy IPA, Salted Caramel Ripple Ice Cream Stout, Last Tree On The Lot Bière De Noël, and Big Chute West Coast IPA. This was a brilliant chat - cheers! 🍦

I am excited to put this notice out to the broader Community. I know there has already been lots of dialogue around this but wanted everyone to know that we are proceeding forward with more investigation into the existing space, what expansion will look like on the property, what developing the outdoor space in and around the building can offer, safety features, and more. There will always be pros and cons to any new space and location but I am excited to work with our Community to make a new Youth Centre, this has LONG be a dream of mine as we have grown out of our current location. We will be exploring adding a commercial kitchen, a proper Valis Sound Studio space, and more.

Stay tuned for a more fulsome update over the next few weeks as we prepare to look at fundraising and all that will entail to make this space for the YOUTH in our Communtiy.

I am more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you have, and will always be 100% transparent so please reach out if you you would like to have a conversation.
