🎲DTW Recap Game # 15🎲

Now for one of my FAVORITE games played at DTW is the prototype Lakbay by @warped_reality_games . Even though the art was unfinished and there were homebrew components, I could NOT stop thinking about this game!

Your main goal is to use different modes of travel to go through cities in the Philippines. It is mostly a multiplayer solo game but I didn’t mind. You’ll draft cards at the beginning of each round to get travel symbols, coins, etc. Then you do your best with the cards and resources you have to get as far as possible. Each completed journey will reward you with end game points and maybe some bonuses for future rounds. The price of travel modes will also change by the flip of a coin each round.

I know this game might not be everyone’s jam BUT I am very excited to see what a more finished prototype will look like! Can’t wait!

And a quick cameo from @emptynestboardmama !

Ended Day 2 of Dice Tower West with Druids of Edora! This is another great hit from Stefan Feld. It was my second time playing and I'm glad I brought my copy from home last second, because this game is popular this year!

✨️[Les Potions d'Azerlande] ✨️
📜 @luckyduckgamesfr 🚛 @neoludis

💡 @grays_games 🎨 @andrewbosley
👥️ 1 - 4 joueurs ⏳️ 90 min 🎂 14 +

20 Plays this week
13 Games
5 New to me games

Highlights:
🏰 Rebirth @mightyboards Another banger from the good Dr. Reiner Knizia. Had intended to play something completely different last night, but that’s the joy of a local game group. Trying something outside what you normally gravitate towards!
🧪 Potions of Azerland @warped_reality_games Played this with designer and awesome dude @grays_games at Dice Tower East last July and backed it IMMEDIATELY. Got my copy while I was at PAXU and cannot get enough of this game! Between the production quality, @andrewbosley art and the “priority” mechanic…. This is 💯 top 10 material.

I’d love to hear what you played this week.
Everyone is welcome to join and share using #sundaystats🔮 and don’t forget to tag me 💜

As I’ve gotten older one of the most important things to me is taking the time to enjoy my hobbies and finding friends within them. Our gaming group came together in the most random way - - none of us knew each other but here we are, years later, still playing 😆 we got so damn lucky and that’s not ever lost on me - and it’s crazy to see how our lives have intertwined over the years with our kiddos and SO’s becoming friends, Gray and Tyler turning the hobby into a successful business over at @warped_reality_games , Bryce’s uncanny ability to track down THE funnest games to play - I know it’s often tough finding a group you connect with and that can consistently meet up. I tend to get caught up in the stress of work and the guilt of balancing coworker/wife/mother/friend/business owner life and without a doubt it leaks into my ability to relax and take the time to meet up and game but I am fortunate enough to have friends that patiently welcome me back to the table. Every. Single. Time.

Anyway….. My hope for you is that you’re able to enjoy some solid gaming time with good people this weekend ✨

And eventually I’ll share my thoughts about our experience playing Arcs…… for now all I’m gonna say is it was a crazy, intense absolute shitshow and may possibly be banned from our table for all eternity. Like if it was the last game on the planet…. We wouldn’t play it. We’d just have Gray design something with rocks and sticks and shit and if you know @grays_games you know he’d figure something out and it would be stupid good 😂

What was supposed to be just our hobby turned out to be our new venture. Now we are ready to launch our very first board game, "Potions of Azerland" . Gray Baker, the designer of the game, spent a couple of years working on and improving it, and together with my husband, Tyler, they are ready to share it with everyone. It has stunning art by Andrew Bosley and graphic design by Robby. They all put in a lot of thought to make sure it was visually appealing and enjoyable.

In this game, you will have five actions per round. You can forage and buy ingredients, study for more knowledge, brew potions, and finally fulfill the visitor's request. You can also drink your own potion to gain abilities. It's a simultaneous action selection mechanism, which makes it fun, interactive, and strategic as well.

So if you're ready to be the next potion master, be sure to check out our Kickstarter campaign. Thanks for supporting us!❤️

Lastly, we are having a launch party at Silver Key Lounge 6pm tonight. We have a special guest. Come hang out with us!

What crowdfunded games are you looking forward to?

I can’t wait to dive back into Potions of Azerland by upcoming publisher @warped_reality_games !

Bryce and I had the chance to try this at Dice Tower West and it was good! It has some cool hidden action selection and set collection (among other things), and of course some great artwork by Andrew Bosley! This is coming to Kickstarter in August!

I’ll definitely be posting more about this game soon!
