During the month of February, we are playing self-care bingo @oaktreehealth ! 🍃 🛁 🍃 In honour of Mental Health Month, we want to offer you a bag of @ancient.minerals magnesium bath flakes. All you have to do is complete two rows worth of acts of self-care! 🍃 🛁 🍃 Go for a walk. Meditate. Eat deliberately. Take a nap. Start a new book. Chat with a good friend. Take a relaxing bath/shower. Write your thoughts. Take a break from technology. 🍃 🛁 🍃 That’s it. Prioritize yourself and your needs and we will cheer your success with therapeutic bath salts that will help you take your self-care game to the next level. That sounds pretty great, doesn’t it? 🍃 🛁 🍃 Do you want to play? Be sure to pick up your self-care bingo card at your next appointment! 🍃 🛁 🍃 Do you have favourite ways to relax and practice self-care? Whether we have them on the card or not, I would love to hear about them! Who knows, you might find them on our next bingo card.😉 🍃 🛁 🍃 . . . . #health #wellness #acupuncture #chiropractic #healthiswealth #selfcare #selflove #mentalhealth #stress #anxiety #walk #nap #meditate #nutrition #love #healthylifestyle #healthyliving #healthylife #healthy #ottawa #stittsville #orleans

It’s all coming together! 🍃 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🍃 • ✅ @oaktreehealth ‘s Stittsville clinic—my new work home—is up and running. ✅ @dr.mariepier is fully set up to see chiropractic patients, which includes moms and babies. ✅ The construction of our brand new acupuncture rooms is almost complete. ✅ @oaktree_martin @grecomedicine and I are now seeing acupuncture patients at Oaktree Stittsville. ✅ My new business cards are in and my Oaktree email is now up and running. • 🍃 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🍃 Under normal (i.e. non-Covid) circumstances, I would invite you to pop over and check out my beautiful new workspace in person. Under the current circumstances, I would recommend waiting to see it until you come in for an in-person treatment. That said, be sure to follow my Stories over the next few days and weeks for a sneak peak of the new clinic space. 🍃 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🍃 Do you want to learn more about acupuncture, chiropractic and/our our new clinic? Drop me a DM, send me an email at kristin@oaktreehealth.ca or call the lovely Brianna, our Oaktree Stittsville receptionist, at 613-672-4325. Alternately, check out www.oaktreehealth.ca to learn more about our approach to health, read our staff bios, etc. 🍃 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🍃 We look forward to hearing from you! 🍃 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🍃 . . . . #health #wellness #acupuncture #chinesemedicine #chiropractic #newclinic #stittsville #ottawa #kanata #healthyliving #healthylife #healthylifestyle #ottawahealth #healthyottawa #prevention #fertility #womenshealth #menshealth #stress #anxiety #burnout #ottawalife #community #pcos #endometriosis #miscarriageawareness #acupunctureforfertility #ivf #ivfprep #fertilityottawa

In my experience, optimal health is usually achieved and sustained via a combination of therapies and lifestyle practices. Which combination is right for us will vary based on our current stage of life, state of health, wellness goals, etc., but the concept of synergy remains. Meaning, more often than not, the total is greater than the sum of its parts. 🧩 🧩 🧩 I often view different lifestyle practices and therapeutic modalities as puzzle pieces. Depending on the picture we are trying to create, we are likely to require a different combination of supports, or “puzzle pieces,” in order to create the glowing picture of health that we desire. 🧩 🧩 🧩 For instance, a person hoping to optimize fertility might find they benefit the most from acupuncture, nutrition, and naturopathic care, while a person seeking to address chronic pain might find they notice the greatest improvement from physio, chiropractic, and massage therapy. 🧩 🧩 🧩 No therapy is necessarily better or worse than the other. The trick is finding the combination that will help foster the greatest improvement. 🧩 🧩 🧩 Sometimes, one modality is enough to achieve meaningful change. Other times, it is a combination that will produce the most profound shifts. 🧩 🧩 🧩 Do you want to take action and support your health, but find yourself stuck, uncertain which modalities are likely to best support you? I am an acupuncturist and nutritionist. As such, these are obviously therapies that I hold in particularly high regard. That does not, however, mean that they will be the best for all people, at all times. 🧩 🧩 🧩 Ego has no place in health care. Whether I believe acupuncture and/or nutrition are right for you at this time or not, if I can, it would be my pleasure to help direct you to whichever therapy (or therapies) might best support you. Even if I never treat you, your health will always matter to me—and I will do my best to offer you whatever direction I may. 🧩 🧩 🧩

Patient: 38 Years Female👩⁣ ⁣ Medical Condition: Anxiety Disorders, Chronic Pain⁣ ⁣ Therapies: Acupuncture⁣ ⁣ Medical History: The patient had 2 surgeries and metal rods in her lower back. She also experienced upper back burning and anxiety. He had terrible back and neck pain and was experiencing a strange weakness throughout his entire body. Also, a lot of anxiety disorder and fear over what he was feeling.⁣ ⁣ Case Management: We started him with an Acupuncture session for his anxiety disorder. After 1 session of acupuncture only, he felt a big difference. ⁣ ⁣ In the next session, with some slight skepticism, I added on the PEMF treatment which I can only describe as an electronic pulsing snake that gets draped over the area where needed. ⁣ ⁣ The patient described that, It doesn’t hurt at all; actually feels kind of nice, and I have no idea how or why it works, but it does. ⁣ ⁣ It very quickly accelerated my healing in all areas. In Patient's Own Words: After getting Acupuncture treatments, I am not experiencing any neck pain or weakness anymore.⁣ ⁣ In addition, I have recovered from anxiety issues and have occasional back pain only. ⁣ ⁣ Relative to popping a pill, acupuncture takes some patience and openness. Also, a willingness to participate in one’s own wellness. ⁣ ⁣ And the right practitioner. I’m now on monthly maintenance. ⁣ ⁣ BY Mark Moshchinsky, Licensed Acupuncturist⁣ ⁣ Learn More about case study: https://bit.ly/2BSerCU⁣ ⁣ #nourishdoc #acupuncturist #acupunctureworks #acupuncturelife #acupuncture #acupuncturestudent #anxiety #chronicdisease #chronicpain #backpain #healthyliving #healthylifestyle #health #bodypain #pain #painrelief #unitedstates Acupuncture
