It takes a community, and ours showed up. 🤍 Corks for a Cause would not happen without the businesses and families who said yes before the first ticket was sold. Each year, more than 500 young adults age out of foster care in North Carolina without a permanent family or support system to lean on. But organizations like The Open Door House in Concord, NC, are stepping in to help change that story. ❤️ Last night, I had the honor of attending my THIRD Corks for a Cause event, and it’s been incredible to witness how much this organization has grown over the years. From celebrating the opening of Grace House for young women, to the addition of Ezekiel House for young men, to hearing this year’s vision for an entire campus dedicated to serving young adults aging out of foster care. A vision that would expand their capacity from 4 to 26 young adults! For over five years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside The Open Door House through Honeycutt Media, helping share their mission and the incredible work they’re doing in our community. While I get to work with many wonderful businesses and organizations, there’s something especially meaningful about using my work to help bring awareness to a mission like this one. When I think back to being 18, I can’t imagine navigating that season of life without my family. They were my foundation, my safety net, and the people I could turn to when I didn’t have all the answers. Every young adult deserves that kind of support. If you’ve never heard the term “aging out” of foster care, I encourage you to take a few minutes to learn about the young adults who are navigating adulthood without the support so many of us take for granted. I’m incredibly grateful to play a small part in sharing this mission, and even more grateful for the people working every day to make sure these young adults don’t have to face the future alone. Learn more about The Open Door House and the lives they’re changing at theopendoorhouse.org ❤️

Our hearts are full after an amazing *Corks for a Cause* fundraiser at Green Leaf Farms in support of The Open Door House! 🍂🍷💚 The delicious, fall-inspired menu by 2 Gals Kitchen was the perfect touch! 🍽️🍁 A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who sponsored, donated silent auction items, and worked behind the scenes and on event day to make it all happen. 🙌✨ Britney, Taska, and Danny at Green Leaf Farms created such a special space for us. 🌿🕯️ A big shoutout to Dean and Betty for curating the silent auction items and securing sponsors! 🎁👏 Kathy, you did a beautiful job bringing everyone together! 💛 And Justin was a rockstar selling corks for our Cork Pull—it was so much fun! 🍾🎉 Curious about how The Open Door House supports vulnerable youth who have aged out of foster care? Stop by or visit our website—be sure to watch the video about our work. 🎥🏡 We’d love to connect and share more! 💬 I’m so happy to serve on this board. 💚 We’re working hard to raise awareness and make a difference in our community. 🤝🌟 Stay tuned for our next event! 📣🥂 #CorksForACause #TheOpenDoorHouse #CommunitySupport #FosterCare #YouthSupport Fundraiser ✨

October 15, 2026 was the 3rd annual @theopendoorhouse Corks for a Cause. Love makes the difference! As I listened to the updates I thought about a conversation at the beginning of the night that I’ve long believed. What TODH is doing is preventing human trafficking. Our aged out foster youth are vulnerable and @kathy_lista70 saw the need in our community and she took action. It’s always a privilege to visit @green_leaf_farmsnc! @2galskitchen served up shrimp and grits that I’m still thinking about! The entire meal was fantastic! Everyone at our table raved about the food! Each year this event highlights what’s happened and what’s to come. I will never stop saying, everyone can do something! What pulls on your heart? Is it youth who have aged out of foster care who are vulnerable in so many ways? Visit The Open Door House and learn how you can be a part of opening doors and building futures!

Fotos y Recuerdos 📸🪴 Such a sweet morning together. A little yoga, planting our own herbs, a ride around the farm, and lots of time to simply enjoy being in community. With October almost here, the holidays suddenly don’t feel so far away and neither does a brand new year! As we head into the last few months of our very first year of Masi Collective, I’ve been reflecting on how much this year has been about trying new things, learning as we go, building community, and most importantly, building trust. 🌻💛 We’ve tried so many different kinds of events and experiences this year, and now I want to hear from you! What would you love to see Masi bring back in 2027? What should we do again? 👀 Comment below or send me a DM. I’m already brainstorming what year two could look like. 🫶🏼 📸: @cielomarketingco
