Green Gossip: sharing & spreading the beauty of nature 💚 in the chaparral hills of SoCal. What’s the buzz in your neck of the woods?

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

OH MY GOD!! Does everyone remember Pierro and @rockythepocketpit's budding bromance from back in October? Well, @samjrose (Rocky's mom) knows my appreciation for cheesy Christmas rom-coms (shout-out to #Flansmas), so she made these stills from "A Hot Dog Holiday" starring these two besties I CANNOT!!! 😭 The accompanying synopsis in the last slide comes courtesy of Christmas movie aficionado @brianandsophie. MERRY WOOFMAS, EVERYBODY! 🌭🎄🐾

Earlier this week Pierro and I had to clear out of our apartment for the day/night and @greengossiper was kind enough to offer us a place to stay 💚 Little did we know it would be in the most BEAUTIFUL spot we have ever been to in all of California! Pierro and I had an absolutely magical 24 hours, and he and @greengossiper's large son Rocky (@rockythepocketpit) bonded over several incredible hikes 🥹 Feast your eyes on the beauty of nature AND friendship!! And if you haven't seen it already, check out the reel before this one for full documentation of Pierro and Rocky's Big Guy/Little Guy bromance 🐾

We recently celebrated Aleen's birthday and it was the perfect day in the park for a bunch of big kids. There were brownies, pizza rolls (mandalorian style, of course), Rocky the dog with his Tasmanian Devil speaking voice, a playground, a rose garden and a whole lot of screeching parrots. There was also an entire masked family out playing in the field behind us. Tbh the more we hang out masked, the easier it gets. And as usual... I am double extra for the camera!

Next stop: water balloons and roller skating!

Big thank you to @greengossiper for giving me a tour of her area on Saturday. She's been posting photos of Mariposa Lilies full of Eucera bees, and I really wanted to see this in person.

Here's one of the pictures I took late afternoon. I was planning on taking more closer to sunset, but a couple came by and picked the lilies, leaving these bees without a place to sleep. Really sad turn of events, but hopefully, more will bloom soon.

The second photo is a face shot of an Eucera, at a different location, on the Morning Glory he slept in.
