Climate Forward? More like Climate Backward!

Seabed mining is NOT a climate solution, and giving them a platform to repeat this false narrative would be greenwashing!

@nytimes wtf! We’re calling for Gerard Baron to be removed from the line up. Even with tough questions, you’re legitimizing a business that has no business being associated with sustainability or climate solutions.

Comment below and I’ll dm you a link through @chilli.app so you can take action!

It’s time to stop deep sea mining. Last month the ISA met, that’s the body that will make the rules for deep sea mining.

Juressa Lee, Greenpeace campaigner was there. The most substantive decision made in that meeting? Not more protection - but that would-be mining companies can now speak at the ISA and push their agenda.

Pacific Peoples are on the frontline of the fight against deep sea mining - and must be heard.

No one wins with deep sea mining. Not Pacific Peoples, not the ocean, and not ocean life.

Two more countries join the growing tide of nations courageously and responsibly saying we must not proceed with exploitation of the deep sea because we don’t know enough to prevent harm.

But we do have a long history of extraction being harmful for the environment and the people on the frontline, such as Indigenous Peoples and fenceline communities. We know enough to say, ā€œno deep sea miningā€.
