Kitchener’s Island … from centuries past exotic seeds and plants from far flung lands, thrive and expand …and we get to wander through the shaded walkways where humans are overruled and outnumbered by magnificent specimens and palm trees. Then a hop further across the Nile to the Sandy banks beyond where camels graze and fishermen stand … the story goes of an honoured man with sickness, buried himself and lay under this very sand for two weeks , and confirmed his ailments healed … and so naturally I had to lie down amidst the Camel enhanced sand a snooze for five … to reclaim my hard working holiday touring feet … And a souvenir of the sand made its way back to the shore of home to blend with the fine oils from the perfumery… The riches of Egypt cross the skies and seas to Scotland. #sand #Egypt #camels #litchenersksland #specimens #grounding #shade #kitchenersisland #trees #specimen #shade #
