POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We host intimate arts gatherings. Our events invite you to have interesting conversations in comfortable spaces - whether you're a professional artist or just arts-curious.

This October you'll have the opportunity to step into the Belle Époque of 1880s Paris, as you attend a party hosted by the woman of the hour, Madame X. For one night only, sip cocktails, be entertained by performers and curiosities, and dance to a live DJ.

Private event, by invite only. DM me for information or visit the link in my bio. 💋

Brought to you by Downtown Arts Club 💃💃💃💃

Come with me to host an evening of art and absinthe with The Downtown Arts Club- what a beautiful evening with new friends in the heart of Soho.
For me it started with a mad dash from the Upper East side (my kid had her own rival art event 😉) down to @greerhowlandsmith art studio.
The studio looked beautiful decked out with flowers, candles, platters of food and wine- and as I arrived so too did the guests. The studio filled up with a gorgeous energy dreamt up by @juliana.beckel playing the piano as @mirandaplantbyers and Nicky played perfect hostesses.
We got started pretty quickly and it was an evening of embossing and creating matchboxes- some guests freestyled and some used my templates and it went by in a blur! It’s a bit nerve wracking talking about something I love to do in front of a big group but everyone seemed to have fun and made something lovely to take away.
I learnt loads and am excited to offer more nights like this!
Thank you to the brilliant and creative geniuses behind the Downtown Arts Club, thank you for having me

We hosted our first workshop 🎨

Before House of RoRo officially existed, I was already playing with the idea of inviting children to paint their own chair — going one step beyond assembly.

We used mini chairs — small prototypes really — and partnered with Mini Cultivist to bring a group of children together to experiment.

The children worked with a watercolor technique that allows pigment to move freely through the wood grain, creating layered, unpredictable results — each piece entirely its own.

This approach grew out of early experiments for Animal Tales, inspired by @ropvanmierlo ‘s work, where I first explored watercolor on plywood as a way to introduce softness and movement into solid forms.

Thank you to @thecultivist @marlies.thecultivist and everyone who joined us. We loved watching the chairs — and the ideas — take shape.

On my super delayed train to Albany.

I finally got out of my bedroom and have been commuting to the city every day for the past 4 weeks. It’s been pure joy just making work and learning from these amazing people. I’m very excited to share what I’ve been working on, my stories, and some artist statement type shit @somecallmeleksh and I have been writing.
