POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This post was intended to be a celebration of our run of Jeeves Takes Charge, but of course it must now be a celebration of my determined, exacting and indefatigable director Hugh Wooldridge.

Generous and charming, he gave his life to theatre. Old School, yes, but constantly curious about what was next - he seemed to manage to see everything on both sides of the pond, generally more than once so he could be sure of his opinion. He honoured the past but was a real champion of new talent as well.

He single handedly drove Jeeves to be the success that it was, bringing together superb creatives who were fantastically talented and utterly delightful. He gave me the greatest challenge of my career, and the most extraordinary opportunity. I will miss him, as will so very many others.

I am leaving the joyful snaps in, as his greatest pleasure was seeing other people happy, and none of these photos would have happened without him.

Vale Hugh Wooldridge

A poetic exhibition in an extraordinary space.

It’s hard not to wonder: who gets invited into these beautiful rooms? #MeganRooney

I’ve chosen and presented this artwork with great care.
It was made by Kiefer—and his vast team—in a private village dedicated to art production. For this work, money was no object. It never has been.

Thinking about that gives me a sadness. A weight in the chest.

How does it make you feel? #ArtAndPower #Kiefer #ContemporaryArt

Its #CARBORUNDUM time again! This time last year @gregbeavis @janie.skuse @zaramatthewsartist @clare_o_hagan @nilofarakm spent four glorious sequential days in the studio, revelling in the luxury of leaving everything set up overnight! And learning exactly how exciting carborundum can be on a plate. 🤩
Have a go yourself next week - book via the website. There are 2 places left as I write this.

@artistdenisewyllie sits absorbed in appreciation of @gregbeavis ‘s ‘Room135’ photo polymer print @woolwichcontemporaryprintfair This smaller scale black on white piece evokes an energy of its own amongst the grander scale of the surrounding powerful somber artworks. A brave and exquisite blaze. #artlondon #woolwichcontemporaryprintfair #print #blackandwhite #lastchance #artistsupportartists #artlover #artcollector #buyart #eamesfineart #graphicstudiodublin #curatedhang #rableygallery #longandryle #oliverprojects #blueshopgallery #atelierroseandgrey #eamesfineart #ironbridgefinearts #artistdenisewyllie

Not too late to see Greg Beavis’ dynamic gestural black and white abstract photopolymer print @woolwichcontemporaryprintfair This leading international art fair beautifully showcases a fresh approach to contemporary printmaking in a spacious easy to access venue. The curation and selection of the exhibits are particularly fine. Finishes tomorrow Sunday 24th. Go see. @gregbeavis link to #directorscut in his bio
