You know how we give it for DA BEARS and spooky season! Last year we gave out 50lbs of candy this year we got 70lbs! Last year we gave the adults shots of tequila or wine this year we are giving out 400 Jell-O shots! We fog up the block and play spooky music to make it even more fun! Turning 40 and honoring my mom (on what would have been her 61st birthday this weekend) by taking Ruben on some fresh powder runs in Aspen Snowmass. But all w’s go to my husband @gregbirman who made every single moment joyful, memorable, and peaceful. I know without a shadow of a doubt my mom is skiing alongside us in spirit 🕊️⛷️ p.s. kudos to @viceroysnowmass for treating Ruben like the little king that he is, conquering the slopes at just shy of 3 with his perfect instructor Miss Olivia, a fellow @loyolachicago Rambler alum 🐺

Hey friends and family, I’m starting this new Instagram page because my personal page was taken over by @blackgirlpolitics. Once that happened, I couldn’t post the everyday pictures of me, my family, and our life the way I used to, so I had to start fresh and create a new space.

A lot has changed. Aunt Majik passed away on February 20th, and I’ve been caring for her and handling her affairs. Melody just turned 4. We’ve also started a few new business ventures and we’ll be sharing announcements when the time is right. I want to bring y’all along for all of it and more.

And yes, it’s still Day… but I’d be lying if I said I’m the same Day. I’ve changed and evolved. Life will do that sometimes. What I can say is it’s been for the better. #CREATINGJOYINCHICAGO This year we teamed up with our dope ass next door neighbors to do something special for the kids and adults because Chicago has been through so much lately.

They had a big fog machine going that filled the block, and they decorated their house real creepy. We went all in with a Chicago Bears theme, the Monsters of the Midway, with skeletons everywhere dressed in Bears uniforms and tombstones for our rival teams on the lawn. We played creepy music all night. We gave out about 40 lbs of candy apiece, and I served drinks to the parents who wanted an adult beverage since it was Friday night.

It was our way of saying Happy Halloween and helping everyone take their minds off everything else for a moment to just enjoy the night.

It was so much fun seeing the smiles on the kids, moms, and dads. Everyone loved my Old Fashions! We were out there from 4:30pm until we ran out of candy around 8pm! Halloween 2025 was a success!
