Kitchen In The Wild x Anna Koska

We are delighted to welcome artist and illustrator Anna Koska (@gremkoska) to Kitchen In The Wild Scotland this October.

Anna is renowned for her intricate illustrations of fruit, veg, fish and the natural world. She has illustrated more than 100 books and collaborated with chefs, writers and publishers globally.

Her work, often created using watercolour or egg tempera, celebrates the beauty of nature with remarkable detail and sensitivity.

At KITW, Anna will guide guests through painting sessions inspired by the island’s wildlife and seasonal ingredients.

These sessions offer a chance to observe closely and connect with the environment through art. Swipe for the studio where they’ll take place.

To book the FINAL room this October 8-12 (with guest chef @nathanoutlaw), head to the link in bio.

Thanks to @finisterre , J Bedford and @gremkoska for the 📸

We’re getting ready for WildWeek and with less than two weeks to go… Dartmouth windows are starting to bloom!

We kicked things off at the brilliant Smith Street Deli, whose windows now tell a quiet but powerful story about meadows — and the incredible biodiversity that underpins the food Brett brings to the table every day.

Huge thanks to illustrator Anna Koska, who led the way with her gorgeous drawing skills and brought the whole idea to life on glass.

Next week, we’ll be adorning more shops and cafés across Dartmouth, celebrating the BeWild businesses who back local biodiversity, and invite the wider community into the conversation - ‘what can we all do for the natural world right on our doorstep?’

A massive thank you to Brett at Smith Street Deli for his warm hospitality, enthusiasm and wholehearted support — it means a lot! 🩵

Are you a Dartmouth business and fancy your window going a little bit wild? We’d love to hear from you — it’s a simple, creative way to show your support for local wildlife and be part of WildWeek.

Watch for an insight into our Scotland adventures...

On our 2026 Scotland trips, guide @mattwaterston will take guests out by kayak and RIB between tides and supper, threading through sea lochs where dolphins may surface, scanning for sea eagles overhead, and nosing into quiet coves for encounters with seals and sea otters.

Back on land at @eileanshona, you’ll catch the smell of woodsmoke long before dinner as the chefs are busy in the kitchen.

We’re grateful to have Matt shaping this part of the programme with us, sharing this stunning stretch of the Highlands from the waterline up.

Yesterday’s WildFinds was one of those mornings that quietly reminds you of the importance of community...

A growing group of curious, like-minded people gathered to explore the extraordinary seaweeds of our local shores, pausing to really look, ask questions, research and learn together. What we found was a world of unexpected colour, texture and story, right here in our beautiful town by the sea.

Between discoveries there was pressing, painting, sketching, gentle conversations, shared knowledge, and of course coffee and cake!

Time slowed. Connections deepened. A sense of belonging settled in, not just to each other, but to this wonderful town and its living landscape.

WildFinds is becoming something special: a welcoming space where curiosity leads, creativity follows, and community grows naturally.

If you’re reading this and wondering whether to come along next time, consider this your invitation. You’ll be most welcome 🤍

A huge thank you to @gremkoska for sharing her knowledge, passion and time. 🙏🏻🤍

WildFinds - 1st Sunday of every month, 10am @coastal.trail. See you next time!
