Another year older today! It’s crazy how fast life passes by. This year came with plenty of ups and downs, new connections, a few goodbyes, and at least several “What was I doing again?”

At 25, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism 1. At first, the news felt devastating. I spent a lot of time mourning the version of life I thought I was supposed to have. I thought I was broken. But as time went on, it also felt like finally getting the instruction manual I’d somehow been missing for 25 years. So many things finally made sense, and I realized I had been judging myself too critically over things I couldn’t control. My girlfriend and buddies have been nothing but so supportive in my self discovery journey. There’s still so much to comprehend!

If there’s ANY lesson I’m taking into 26, it’s learning how to give myself grace. I’m still working on accepting that rest is productive, hobbies don’t need to be monetized, and my worth isn’t measured by how much I accomplish in a day. You may have noticed how inconsistent I’ve been with uploading to social media.. and that was no accident. I do love to share my silly doodles, and see all the other artists I’ve come to know over the years continue to improve their craft. It’s been such a pleasure to grow with everyone. Still, it’s simply not important to me to be a constant presence online. My art is mine, and I never want to start hating my favorite outlet. :) You can always count on seeing a sparkly purple tiger every now and again.

ANYHow.. That’s the longest caption I think I will ever have. Enough of all that mumbo jumbo! Wish a very happy birthday to @griffinwriter too. 💜
